You're not going to max anything demanding with this card, but you're going to be able to play anything except BamHam and other completely broken shit at acceptable graphic levels and framerate. The 2GB cap is limiting and will cause dips on higher graphical settings but you get what you pay for.
The low bus rate will cause more drops at 4GB than the higher bus rate 2GB card though.

My old 680 performs great and it should be more than twice as powerful than a ps4.
It should perform somewhere between the gtx950 and the gtx960.
I think it might miss out on some feature like gpu boost 2.0, but if you can pick it up for cheaper than those cards, you got a great deal.

I'm using a 6300 right now. Are you overclocking? because that's how you get the most out of that cpu since it's 95w.
most am3+ boards can handle up to 125w, and to use the 9300 series cpus you need a 225w board. so your only real upgrade path is buying an 8320. don't get the 8320e or the 8350, or the 8370. you wouldn't notice a substantial jump in performance unless you overclocked, since the 6300 can reach 4.4ghz on most OC boards and the 8320 can hit 4.7ghz. the extra fpus however will also make a difference in multitasking; like streaming, using multiple programs, editing, etc.

you don't need an evo for a locked processor, you could get away with something cheaper, maybe even stock.
i don't suggest 1 ram stick, doesn't allow dual channel and if that one stick has a problem, you're fucked until the RAM is replaced.
good choice on a monitor, as along as it's HD.

overclocking is a learning experience and varies across different motherboards, but it wouldn't take you more than an 8 hour day of trial and error to get it working, maybe even less.
also, what motherboard do you own? I have anecdotal experience with the MSI 970 GAMING board and couldn't for the life of me get it to stop downclocking my cpu, which is REALLY bad.
If I were you I'd download CPU-Z and see what the processor speed is at right now. if it's something like 1.3ghz then your board is downclocking and thats the reason you're not having a good time.

I have a 650 bought it several years ago. I was a total moron and didn't know the 6 was the card generation and that 50 meant it was the bottom of the barrel card for the 6th generation. I just saw 650 and was like "that's a big number" and bought it, I'm serious I was that stupid.

That's what I figured. Im just slowly upgrading my system from budget to mid which is good enough for me so I think upgrading one or two components yearly will be good.
Microcenter tends to have great deals on Black Friday and none of the over-crowding of other shit stores like Target and Walmart so I might just make this my thing to do.
