Witcher 3 felt like they fixed everything mechanically counter-intuitive from 2 and added an ample dose of skyrim while providing a more digestible story.
MGSV was Kojimas goodbye present to all MGS fans. It built upon everything established in PW and expanded on it quite nicely. The story is hit or miss which is very typical of Kojimas work. The added online is a blast with friends.
Fallout 4 addresses the issues fans had with Fallout 3 by improving and polishing the mechanics at the cost of streamlining some of the RPG elements. The writing can still be shameful at times but the sense of exploration and genuine fun I've had with the game more than make up for it. Its definitely not better than New Vegas so far but its certainly a step towards the right direction following Fallout 3.
As for BB well...its not bad don't get me wrong in fact its actually one of the better games i've played all year. The main issue with bloodborne is how shallow and insipid its elements are. Between the strange step-back from DaS estus flask to the reduction of items and gears available, the game felt like it needed more time. The gameplay is still pretty solid although suffering from occasional framedrops and weird input lag at times. Personally the more aggressive take on combat wasn't all that appealing and the bosses felt like they had too much health as a result but overall it improved alot on the old combat formula especially after DaS II's "shockwaves".

Witcher 3 - Shit gameplay experience with a supposedly good story but sitting through the shit gameplay makes me not care in the slightest about the story. I suspect people rating this high also enjoyed gone home or are 12 year old children who like it because LOL SEX.
Bloodborne - Great gameplay, lives up to the standards set by previous Souls games but nothing special.
Phantom Pain - Best gameplay by far this year, unfortunately let down by the bullshit with Konami, which actually makes this discussion even possible.
Fallout $ - Trash, plain and simple. Absolutely poor effort and only considered because a big name company released it.
Of those choices, It's either Bloodborne or MSGV.
There were plenty other games released that were far more enjoyable than Witcher 3 and Fallout 4, some of which include Rocket League, Hotline Miami 2, Splatoon etc.

MGSV is the biggest pile of overrated garbage I've ever seen since Skyrim release. Fallout 4 is genuinely terrible. It's a bad shooter and one of the worst roleplaying games ever made.
Witcher 3 is a good RPG, but like most RPGs it isn't particularly fun to play. If you play it, it will be purely for the story and roleplaying. I have no interest in another medieval fantasy game though, so into the trash it goes for me.
Bloodborne is another Souls game. Not amazing but quite good.
Metal Gear Solid V is very fun at first but is ultimately a mess of a game for obvious reasons that don't need to be discussed.
Bloodborne wins for gameplay, Witcher 3 wins for story. None of these games are particularly great.

I've been playing TW3 on a 2500k and 670, both OC'ed, and it plays amazingly. All high settings, a few things on Ultra and I get 50+fps. It looks gorgeous.

For me it kinda does but if it doesn't bother you and it still brings you into the world by just how well designed it looks from a visual standpoint then fair enough. Still I can see getting bored fighting the bog standard fight without having to take into consideration the environment that much, games like DMC work with the level design not playing a huge role due to the complexity of the combat however TW3 looks more like Souls in terms of combat but in Souls the level design plays a massive role that stops the simple combat getting stale.

Level design barely affects combat outside of a few specific environments like fighting flying creatures near cliffs.

Witcher 3, Bloodborne and Phantom Pain are all reasonably good games and I'd be happy for any of them to win GOTY's. None of them are my personal pick but I'm not going to get autistic about Splatoon and Rocket League not sweeping awards.
Fallout 4 is the cancer with the glitches, reused assets and suspiciously large marketing budget. I want to believe game awards aren't things for sale but then this is an industry where Shadow of Mordor and Dragon Age: Inquisition were winning things last year so I'm cynical.

Witcher 3 - took what made earlier games good and made it better, like W1's atmosphere and W2's fighting. Mediocre to good RPG, brilliant Witcher game
TPP - took mechanics from earlier games and reworked them to great effect, unfortunately, some of the charm was lost. Brilliant stealth game, rather disappointing as a Metal Gear gaem.
F4 - extensive casualisation, mostly took stuff from earlier games only to make them simpler (affiliations, dialogue). Acceptable shooter, mediocre RPG, shit as a Fallout game

Witcher 3: The most solid 7/10 of all times, no 7/10 comes close. Could have been 9/10 if they didn't butcher half the game and the engine for consoles.
Fallout 4: 8/10 atm, will be 9/10 after 1-2 dlc and the first big mods. I haven't had this much fun in ages, 160h in, haven't explored half the map.
MGS V: 5/10, solid gameplay, but that's it. Can't give higher than 5 to a game without content, story, AI, interesting boss fights and were more than 1 and a half chapters are missing.
Bloodborne: Got tired and stopped playing after 4 hours. Hard to give and objective opinion for me since I disliked the core of the game and the approach they took to widden the audience, but I'd say it's a solid 7/10.

There's a difference. DS costed way less to make, and PS3 had many exclusive games. BB was supposed to be the game that forces people to buy a PS4. They invested way more in it.

I saw about the pc port a few days ago. Apparently, some mustards made a petition saying FROM is limiting its fanbase since DS1 and 2 are on PC, and how they want to play BB yet don't want to buy a console for it. FROM said something like "Yes it was a bad choice and it's gonna be a good thing to experience the game in its true glory 60fps".
And again DeS is different. Because they were plenty of games worth buying on a PS3, so nobody was gonna buy a console JUST for DeS. Also the game was way less known, way more niche. And by now it's too late, nobody cares about DeS anymore.

Des isnt different at all. Its a game exclusive to ps3 and stayed that way regardless of its success. It exclusivity had nothing to do with other games at all. Bb being the only good exclusive doesnt mean it will come to pc.

Witcher 3 because that's the only game I played. It was pretty good. Hope they give good mod tools after the last expansion.
The Witcher 3 is a masterpiece, the attention to detail is incredible, the characters setting and dialogues are incredible, and the themes are well thought out and laid for the player. I would actually say it's an actually "mature" game, or at least the most mature that fantasy RPG can get.
TW2 was the same, but this one improves on gameplay awhile keeping the incredible story and characters. Why isn't this discussed more? i don't know. It comes to mind Dragon Age and the simplistic way to look at things, the saturday morning villains we see in videogames, yet no one comments on the witcher's morally gray all the time characters.
It's engaging as fuck. GOTY.
