I get a stable 55-60FPS as long as I don't move the camera, even under heavy load with shit exploding. Anytime I start turning the camera my HDD spikes and the game grinds to sub-1FPS.
Playing in offline mode fixes this, and I get good, consistent framerates. I get that the servers are probably getting destroyed because it's launch day, but why the fuck is that destroying performance in turn?

I have 40 hours on Mad Max and 3 hours on JC3 so far. Mad Max is good, and definitely more optimised as of now. However, JC3 will give you better bang for buck as there's a shit ton more to do here than in Mad Max.
My opinion? If you don't have a GTX 980 or above, then go for Mad Max and wait for some performance patches for JC3.

When people look up an analysis or play the game, they'll see drops to 10 are extremely rare. What matters is that the game regularly drops to 20 - this is what will define the experience for a lot of people. Inform people of that.

Ran this game on a oced 950 and 780 at 1440p 90% to max settings. Averaged 32-48fps during intense action, whilst running maxed out at 1080p back in the day on a (216) 260 with JC2, still managed solid 60fps.
Clearly the game was launched without drivers ready for the title, and as such as significantly damaged performance for PC. For comparison, I've ran Crysis 3 at 1440p maxed out and I've seen more consistent and stable framerate above 45 in that title than this one.
All that said, if you've bought the title, I recommend refund it under grounds of inconsistent framerate and significant performance issues. Then waiting it out for 1-2 weeks until proper drivers are out and taking stock of the situation prior to repurchase, should you decide to.
In the 30 minutes I got to play the game, I enjoyed flying around in the wingsuit and parachute with grappling hook, but performance issues ruined the game play.
