My Covenant colony is glitched. All the citizens attacked me and I killed them. I then claimed it as my own, but I can't remove the old blown up turrets so it's always on fire. Also a pair of raiders spawn 10 yards from the colony and attack all the time.

He stops with the stuttering and the awkwardness and becomes a fairly competent and mildly charismatic radio host a few days after you finish the quest (first part gives him confidence in himself, second part gets him laid, third part shows him how inconsequential all the bullshit that he worries about is). Both Betty Hutton tracks are probably my favourite tracks in the game.
The make a pretty detailed ingame build mode for designing settlements but then limit the ammount of items you can actually place quite harshly.
They place tons of old structures and what not inside most settlements, but then don't give you the ability the to modify these structures. Want to repair the walls? Well your only option is to clumsily place something in front of any holes, if at all possible. Want to clean the floors up? Well too bad, you can't. Want to remove all the huge shrubs on your street? Can't do that either. Tree logs were fine though because they gave resources. Are there skeletons in the settlement? Well they're perma stuck there because you can't scrap them, nor move them by holding E.

It's actually better than previous nu-Fallouts, for one it hasn't crashed on me yet in 60+ hours, and it runs at solid ~60fps 1440p with most settings on high, TAA and texture + lighting quality on ultra, on a 3 year old rig with a GTX670 (also 16GB of slow 1600Mhz low-voltage RAM), so you're probably good. The SSD virtually eliminates loading times, maybe also helps with geometry streaming out in the wasteland.
