After much part picking I came up with this list.

>inb4 paying for OS / Optical Drive
>inb4 too much RAM

I gotta do this legit because anti-piracy bigots will be around (business vidya related thing.) and they're gonna bitch / raise hell over a pirated version of Windows. So it's gotta be done non USB with a fucking disk. Whatev's.

Some mandatory parameters I'd like to include:
Must use Nvidia GPU, Intel CPU, i5 or higher, RAM must be G-Skill, ASUS Motherboard.

I've had shit experiences in the past with AMD, Radeon, and other brands of RAM. Same with motherboards. I ain't taking chances here.

Any way to make this build cheaper, but more powerful? I'm factoring in the cost of the monitor / keyboard / mouse into the budget. I'll be using $20 Sennheiser HD 201's for the sound. As far as having a mic goes it's not necessary. This PC is not for me.

Are all the parts compatible? I'd prefer Windows 7 over Windows 10 but you can convince me otherwise and I'll go for it. (The whole privacy concerns along with ease of use.)

Again, make sure to match the parameters. I've had some bad experiences with AMD / Radeon / any RAM that isn't G-Skill in the past and I won't be repeating a purchase with other brands.

I have it at 16gb of RAM because I've used 8 before and had it bottleneck due to Windows 7 reserving 2g leaving me only 6. Also it's cheap so why not?

I suppose I can keep it under $1300 if that's cool.

to help you out a bit since budget seems to be your goal:

you can get your motherboard and an i5 4690k in a bundle from Microcenter for $287

which is about $40 cheaper than what you have

here's the link to that

Since this isn't for me I was wanting to eliminate / reduce the risk of accidental overclocking, wich the 4690k allows. The regular 4690 doesn't allow overclocking.
>>
>>318425846
ah but see there's the kicker

the motherboard doesn't allow for overclocking regardless of the CPU

Oh, okay.

Since it doesn't have a Z in it, right?

Fuck off.

I believe so, personally I use an ASRock H97M motherboard with an i5 4690k and there's no clock speed option in the bios. I imagine the Asus motherboard will be similar

I'm no shill unless I'm shilling myself. (Youtuber.)

Radeon cards have died on me too much in the past, and that shit about a game running crappily on purpose when not using Nvidia turned me away from other brand GPU's.

>>318426851
Corsair, Kingston, etc RAM have all died or malfunctioned on me. Gskill keeps on. ASUS motherboards last the longest for me.
>>
>>318426762

They're in bed with intel so thanks to the butthole favors those companies perform for each other it's sort of the more viable option.

Gotta buy what works best.
