The Talos Principle is fantastic. The game rewards exploration and especially the star puzzles are real brain wreckers. Great looking environments and good music to boot.
Undertale is also great. It has a bit slow start, but gets better over time, though your enjoyment heavily hangs on how much you likepower of friendshipthemes. Tons of memorable fights and great music towards the end.
To The Moon is another "feel game", but has almost no gameplay to speak of and there's literally only one type of puzzle that's repeated a lot. A really great premise, but I think it's squandered by the writing, actual plot and the shittyInceptionending / sequel hook for a game that will never be. Wouldn't really recommend.

The main puzzles aren't really that hard and are structured like Portal with different rooms which unlock new areas. There's a good load of secret areas and other easter eggs though, and especially the optional star collectibles required for unlocking those new places took me a lot longer. However you don't have to complete the star puzzles to get most out of the main story and endings, at worst you'll be missing out on some messages, audio logs and nice looking environments.

Better writing and roleplaying options, plus overall improved game mechanics. However if you hated the core gameplay of FO3 you probably aren't going to enjoy NV that much as it's still mostly about traversing a relatively large overworld and exploring dungeons, with similar type of battles. I thought the DLC campaigns were a lot better than the actual core game. Much more tightly packed content without the filler of constantly running back and forth, plus they're all tied together by one underlying storyline.

Eh... Undertale basically goes for the same crowd as earthbound.
It's wacky, charming characters in a simple framework (gameplay- and story-wise). There are actually not that many games getting this right without becoming outright cringeworthy and/or filled with pop-culture-references/memes.
It certainly blew up quite a bit, but it wasn't really much of a surprise to be honest.
From solely being a console gamer for years I finally got a Steam account but don't know where to start.
What's best to play with? Keyboard and mouse or game controller? I'm not used to playing with K+M so I guess I'd get a controller but I'm not sure what the best it.
Also what games do you guys recommend is best to play on PC vs console? What are some good PC only games?

You're in the same position I'm in. I got an Xbone controller coming in the mail in a couple hours. I did a lot of research and it seemed to be the best for all-purpose use and compatibility. I'm gonna try it tonight with some basic games like Oniken. Even if KB&M is best for a lot of games it's still worth having a PC compatible controller for emus and AAA titles like GTA.

I'm not big into FPS. I'm more into games like Shadow of the Colossus, Zelda, Okami. Games where I can explore and go on an adventure. But I also like Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, and visual novel games like Zero Escape and Ace Attorney.
I tried playing Team Fortress 2 but I've barely gotten past the tutorial. I guess it's just a matter of adjusting and practice.

It may not be entirely from scratch but I believe you strongly underestimate the workload of actually making content. It's easily a good 75% for a game like Undertale, which basically just requires a really simple 2D engine.
And even with it you'd still have to script the combat or the dialogue system from scratch.

CSGO is one of my favourite online shooters, I didn't get into it at first, but as soon as I got vaguely interested into it and started playing, I managed to gitaverageand became DMG.
I got it for about €7 and it's been an absolute blast but sometimes it's rage fuelling, like today I had a match on Aztec and went livid because my friends (who usually carry me since I suck shit compared to them) were sucking and I was topfragging but then it was so satisfying when we went from 1-8 to a 16-10 win since the angrier I got, the more I wanted that win and did more riskier things hoping to assist in the winning.Don't get into skins, it's like heroin if you actually give a shit about cosmetics
