A lot of people think that Master Cheif or some indie rep like quote is going to be in now that Cloud was revealed.

Sakurai choose Cloud, I think that at this point any animeme or waifu/husbando characters have more chances that fanfavorites like K. Rool or Wolf.

But Waddle Dee is one the announcements that would not be total cancer.
K.Rool, Wolf, Ivysaur, Squirtle and Wonder Red would be pretty good or alright at least, most other things that I've seen I wouldn't want in Smash. I am neutral to Shovel Knight but my biggest fear is that we will get more projectile heavy characters because Sakurai is obsessed with them recently, just look at the Smash 4 roster, it's just too much.

I'd love Squirtle or Ivysaur back, I played Pokemon Trainer only for them but the transformation/switch was a free punish so I didn't play them as often. Also Waddle Dee would be great, I loved him in Return to Dreamland and he's always been a cool and funny character in the Kirby games.

I am positive that Wolf will come back, other than that maybe a Splatoon stage and certainly some more Mii outfits. They said that this will be the last Smash Direct but I doubt that there will be any information about the ballot, just a short mention that the votes have been counted or something.

Pretty much said that already, no projectile focused characters. If Shantae or Isaac play well without having more than one projectile I'd be cool with it.
