Get the Freedom radio up and running by the Castle, listen to it until you get a new mission there, do it and you'll unlock the ability to build artillery at your settlement. Then you just throw a flare and if there's a settlement with arty up and running, they'll bombard the area for you.

I'd rather have a DLC that takes place after the main quest where you're able to continue building the minute men as you see fit. There's no reason that you wouldn't be able to start up factories, scavenge tech, and make America great again.
And by doing so, you've basically revived the Enclave in spirit. Hell, let the main antagonist find clues about them and allowed to use them as inspiration.

This is one of the rare cases where I regret not spending more on vidya.
I don't want DLC. I pirated Fallout 4. I want Obsidian to make another Fallout game.

And even if you installed a mod that lets you do that, You can't progress the main quest because the game doesn't provide any alternative to talking to the characters. Followers are among those who can't be killed, so you have no reason to protect them.
- Thanks to the voiced MC, every choice leads to the same dialog on matter what. The only time you can interact with people is when a quest requires it or if it's a follower event, or if it's your first time talking to them.
- Even though its story is much more linear, it's still buggy as hell. I had to go into console and reset Preston because there was a bug where I couldn't interact with him at all.
No Todd, you can't do anything. I guess this game is worth one playthrough, but that's it. I'm sure if I played it again I would notice even further how little choice I actually have. Thank fuck I pirated.

It's funny, the one quest that actually gives you multiple options in how to approach it (Battle for Bunker Hill) is broken as fuck. Despite never talking to either side, the place was filled with RR and BoS goons, neither of whom I could inform about the operation to begin with. It doesn't even have a MM option. And it's not like I didn't try to get other parties involved, I worked with the RR up to the point where I communicated with their inside guy and I still couldn't tell them about Bunker Hill. The basic suit doesn't confer any actual armour benefit, but will still allow you to negate falling damage, increase your strength slightly, and look like you're a tiny skellington inside a hollow body.

No, it's not bad. It's terrific against Super Mutants, humans and sometimes ghouls and can kill them in 1-12 punches depending on their level, class and whether or not they're legendary. There are perks to cripple enemies, ignore armor, greatly increase VATS punch range, increase VATS critical attack, and a few other things.
It's not good for bugs, mirelurks or deathclaws unless you're in power armor, then it's fine. Unarmed is great for one ghoul and usually klils them in one or two hits. It kills glowing ones in about 8 hits. However, when a bunch of ghouls crowd you, it's usually better to use a gun or explosives and back off from them.

Nah senpai, Skyrim had better quests. A Night to Remember and the DB quests were better than anything in Fallout 4, despite being all-around mediocre otherwise. Most Skyrim quests still had more personality and more varied objectives than just about anything in Fo4.
