Is worth a purchase /v/? Currently deciding between it and Mirror's Edge, both dirt cheap until the end of today.
You'll get a lot more gameplay out of mp3, mirrors edge is a good game but it's a lot shorter.
Both are great games. I say go for it.

Mirror's Edge is really short, and the story and characters are shallow as fuck. Gameplay is mediocre.
But it's also really fucking soothing to play, it looks gorgeous, the colour palette, the lighting are top notch. And the ambient music is chill as fuck.
both games are perpetually 5 dollars somewhere. if you're that broke flip a coin and buy one now and one later.

MP3 is great. Slick gun-play and pretty challenging. Also has an awesome soundtrack.
Just be prepared for long unskippable cutscenes (although the story is reasonably stronk).
mp3 is also short dont let anyone fool you. you can finish it in 8 hours, would be less if not for all the incessant cut scenes.

OP get Mirror's Edge and never look back at Max Payne 3. It's not only the worst entry in the series, it just shouldn't fucking exist. It's awful. Mirror's Edge on the other hand is a fantastic standalone game that is still one of the best all time games that everyone should play, period.

Max Payne 3 is one of the best shooters ever gameplay wise and the story isn't bad either. I highly recommend it, the only people that didn't like it are purists who worship the first two.

I played 2 when it came out and played 1 afterwards and still like Max Payne 3. It's pretty much like "Die Hard With A Vengeance"; it makes changes to the story and the "presets" of the previous two, but it's still a pretty good game.

That last one is a major dealbreaker on the higher difficulty levels because you may want to have a SPECIFIC weapon out and then

And now you have the wrong weapon out and you have to waste valuable time switching back to the gun you just selected.
Again, that last one is only REALLY a problem on the higher difficulty levels but it is such a huge god damn pain I can't believe it still has it.
Also, going through a game with no QTE and then throwing in one random QTE is really dumb.
I love that they make Max a huge drunk the entire game. I didnt play much of the previous ones, but I like my action heros to have casual addictions.

I wanted to like it so fucking bad. The gameplay was good but I'd just finished watching a lot of Deadwood at that time. I'd say actually that that series of events was what opened my eyes to what poor writers Dan Houser and the other faggot actually are.
