And then Blizzard releases it as a single player game, rebalanced for solo play. All quests, dungeons, raids and events included, starting from vanilla to whatever the final expack will be.

>you control your character and can slightly control npcs in your party
>you can recruit party members in any city and keep them as long as you want
>those party members have a certain "setting" for their ai (some are brave and will fight to their dying breath, others will spam CC to not have to fight anything)
>you can send npcs you aren't using to your guild to keep them active in leveling but at a lower rate
>when you finish large quest chains you can get "epic" party members with unique skills and traits
>give in town npcs more dialogue
>make it feel more like a proper RPG
>friends can co-op with you
It would take a complete overhaul of the game but I would play something like that.

Wow is still standing because as shitty as it is, it's the best mmorpg there is and has been. It's not even close to the best rpg out there.
