Not really, it mind feel a little uncomfortable at first but you get used to it quickly and most headphones do a great job of being comfy. As far as material goes just research headphones in your pricerange and see what people say about them. Definitely ditch the earbuds though even a shitty pair of 20 dollar headphones are a step up.

The PS2 Backwards Compatibility is also emulation on the PS4. When the PS3 had it, it was hardware based which drove up the cost but made backwards compatibility 1:1 with the original PS2 (the PS3 literally had an EE chip on it)
