I don't know, turning a turn based game into an action game wouldn't really keep it fire emblem. At least with Hyrule Warriors it used Zelda things like items and treasure chests. I would think a Kirby one would be neat, or a Mario one that has characters from Donkey Kong, Wario, etc.

If you don't you've just got a very generic medieval Musou.
Nintendo Musou would work better because you can have a variety of different characters, including FE all with unique abilities.

And you could just make the breakable weapons power ups. You start the stage with whatever weapons you have unlocked for that character, and after a certain amount of uses it breaks and your weapon is demoted to the next best one you have unlocked. You can find weapons on the field to replace what's been broken/upgrade mid battle. The ultimate weapons would never break.
Plus low european style fantasy musou is something that hasn't been done before. Unless you count Dragon Warrior, I forgot that just came out.
