I don't agree with them. The benefits of having something on multiple consoles outweighs the benefits of exclusives as far as I'm concerned.
The most legitimate reason not to have something on multiple platforms is because it would be too hard to make suitable controls for a certain platform, but this isn't the case with most games. Even then, you can get away with shit controls if you say "it's meant to be played with a controller".

Oh I did, got the Uncharted bundle Friday. So far I'm really pleased, I've just been playing Taken King and Drake's Fortune. Getting TLOU Remastered on Friday probably so I can get back on that sweet multiplayer horse (really, if you have a PS4, you need to get into TLOU multi, it's fantastic).
I want to play Bloodborne but I think I should finish Demon's Souls first. I like the look of Horizon, I'm stoked for P5 and Nier Automata, I can run through the Uncharteds in time for 4, and I'm seriously looking forward to Gravity Rush HD.
I'll build a PC one day just because I want one, but this console really suits me for now. I'm pretty damn happy with it.

I've been loving it ever since. Can't wait for this first wave of great games in 16/17. My guess is that things will go quiet in 2018, and by 2020/2021 there's be another wave of all the weeb games I'd ever wish for.
What I find criminal is that new PS4 players won't ever be able to play pic related. One of the best horror games out there, even if short. And it somehow works even better when you have friends around.

Then again any view regarding the PS4 on /v/ is a lose-lose for sony. If it has exlusive it's "Wow they suck for holding those games hostage, PC port will come in a month anyway lol", and if it doesn't have exlusives it's "well no point in having one then when I can just play on PC"

Not that guy, but there's not a single exclusive on that list that interests me. They're all derivative, generic rehashes, remixes or sequels. Fun.
Though, that's not a problem with the PS4, that's a problem with the industry right now. I still have no reason whatsoever to ever even think about wasting money on a console, however. I'm fine with my rehashes over here; I don't need a dedicated box for "special" rehashes.

MGS5 runs at 1080p/60fps on the PS4. The only difference are graphical settings
Between blocking yourself out of playing a plethora of other jap games, or running MGS5 with better graphics, I think the choice is quite easy.

It's plenty good on PS4, although it's obviously better on PC if it's strong enough. I wouldn't say that upgrading your PC is worth it just for that game but it could be if you're planning to get more high end PC games down the line.
