>Finally buy pic related this weekend

What should I play first now that I have a decent card?

Bump with new IP

JC2 with the flying mod for sweet mental imagery

Ass Creed: Black Flag

Mm.. GTA V

etc.

>Ass Creed: Black Flag
Is this any good? The last AC I played was 3 and I pretty much swore off the series at that.

Bumping with another IP
>>
>implying that the 560ti was bad
>>
>>318342347
If I couldn't play on high with 60fps then it is bad.
It played old games well, but it is long past its prime.
>>
>>318340456
I just bought that card on neweggs ebay "outlet". They are selling those cheap wholesale. I am concerned, but so far the card has been great.
>>
>>318342821
>They are selling those cheap wholesale.
They're cheap because Nvidia just price cut all of the 900 series cards to put AMD even more out of business.
>>
>gtx 970
>decent
shouldve gotten r9 390 instead of letting yourself get ripped off

That card is $300 and would have required me to buy a new power supply.
The 970 uses less power than my 560ti did, and it was only $240.

Again

Nigger, I've been playing with a 550 TI since 2011 and games look just fine, what sort of free to play trash are you playing
>>
>>318341862
it is actually the best Ass Creed to date

Probably when I couldn't mod the shit out of FO3 and NV is when I decided to stop using my shit card.

what should my next upgrade be? thinking cpu
>>
>>318340456
DONT YOU MEAN 3.5
>>
>>318340456
Good choice, this was the card I ogled all weekend and couldn't really afford so I ended up buying a 750 ti which believe it or not is a major upgrade for me (currently I have a GT 730)
>>
>>318345034
>Fahrenheit
Your next upgrade should be using a real form of measurement.
>>
>>318345147
speccy doesn't report in kelvin
>>
>>318345245
>speccy doesn't report in kelvin
fortunately celcius is essentially a scaled kelvin.

fahrenheit is literally nonsense.

What are the best 970 deals right now?
>>

>>
>>318345556
You fucked up and didn't buy one during the sales, so unless Newegg or other places put out some great deals tomorrow you won't find one for <$300.

I've never built a PC before and I'm sitting on an old 470 my friend gave me. Is this a decent enough setup considering I've only got a $300 budget?
>>
>>318345794
Fortunately I don't plan on playing in 4K for the next long while, so I will never exceed the 3.5GBs and experience the stuttering, which isn't really that bad on lower resolutions.

>>318345938
I didn't want to pay $400 for a card. I wanted to pay <$300.
>>
>>318346202
If you are willing to pay that much, might as well go for an Intel setup, you can get a good i3 (more than enough for most gaming right now) and essentially future proof it for a i5/i7 down the line
>>
>>318346441
>you can get a good i3 (more than enough for most gaming right now)
Do not believe this guy.
>>
>>318346441
>>318346518
I just want an okay setup to play a few games on, shit
>>
>>318346518
It's treating me well, I just did a cheap upgrade to that + a 750ti and its doing me fine. It's all based on what you want really.
>>
>>318346569
Just do some Logical Increments for decent builds, you can do PC Park Picker + Research when and if you want to get serious.
>>
>>318340456
My last card was a 560 non ti before my actual R9 390, I ran a lot of stuff damn fine at 60fps with OC, I remember playing Max Payne 3, Sleeping Dogs, Deus Ex 3, Battlefield, etc.

I upgraded just for MGSV and GTA V, but most of the games ran fine.
>>
>>318346569
Don't buy an Intel processor unless you can afford an i5 or better.

This is still very good and cheap.

>>
>>318345034
bumping this. assume correctly that i am a fool in this department
>>
>>318345034
If I were you I would upgrade the 6300 and motherboard first, then somewhere down the line upgrade to one of the newer nvidia or AMD cards, whichever is cheaper, then upgrade your monitor.

You should also go purchase a 1TB internal drive for game storage and shit. There's no reason to store everything on an SSD.

thanks
