It's because he stop animating and his last sequelitis was more bitching than informative, or at least from my perspective. It felt more like "Let's find out what's wrong with Ocarina" than "What's right with Link to the Past." I feel he's cared less and less about animation, specifically HIS animation, and more about selling his brand and maintaining a status.
He used to make funny animations with mediocre art. His art got better, but the humor just got worse.
