>Last game you played
>becomes a rhythm game
What is the play style and what is affected by the music?
Last game I played was literally project diva.
Does it become a meta-game where I play as someone who's playing project diva?

I'll go first.
>Destiny PVP
>Shootan becomes rhythm based
>must prepare for shots
>must ready my shots
>game is now beat-master2000

+x2 = -
>Instead of tapping to a song
>you tap to a press conference
>must learn the press conference before playing
>Pokemon
It is really adorable but easy as fuck
Pressing the right buttons with the rhythm / tapping the touch screen at the right time are all there is to it.

Endless Legend.
>Do away with turn-based system
>Game is a music track, 4 measures that loop constantly
>You generate resources by adding different types of "notes" to the track
>For example, a certain note might give you 4 Production each time it's played
>Certain note locations generate more resources than others, so competition for note placements is fierce
>Chaining together notes also grants bonuses and multipliers if you're able to form little melodies
>Each civ's notes sound different, musically fitting their aesthetic
>You can spend your civ's resources to get new notes that are better at generating resources (and sound cooler)
Basically you'd be collaboratively building music along with your enemies, starting with simple notes and working your way up to a complex crescendo
It's not technically a rhythm game, sue me

>collaboratively building music along with your enemies
Does any game actually allow you to work with your enemies for comfort, such as music? Why do I want this?

Are they really your enemies then?
Space Station 13
Songs include Space Oddity, Rocket Man, and Space Asshole.
The story is that a chicken granted a Super Juke to the bar, and so the clown holds a dance-off for the Captain's Spare ID.The last song has security come in and harmbaton the clown to death.

so nothing changes?
>crypt of the necrodancer
welp
>>318245634
Soooo.... nothing changes?
>wangan midnight 5
>have to drive to the beat
>have to dodge cars still
could be fun, music in the game is already pretty good.
>Touhou Puppet Dance Performance
>a 2hu rhythm game
Jesus Christ how horrifying.
>>318251482
You know rhythm games already have 2hu songs in them, right?

I have no idea what's going on there, but it looks about as difficult as I imagined it to be.

Here's a different game, same song. Perhaps this one is easier to figure out.

>not sdvx
>Kingdom Hearts Unchained X
>Noby Noby Boy
As long as NNB brings in Katamari OSTs, I am 100% game for either of these to be rhythm games.
No idea how they'd play though

>Age of Empires 2
uh, I guess units move or attack to specific parts of a song, like siege units might only move to bass-y parts.
Building and unit creation could progress along with the timing of the song.
If this is the case, there might be different phases every couple of minutes, like building/production, movement, combat, and back to movement. Different phases would probably then have to have different music sets to suit the phase.
>KoF 13
already been done
