the cast and how it subverts the normal power rangers tropes while also homaging them in a really tasteful way
it did a lot of things that are very strange for a show that's associated with the power rangers brand, such as
An incredibly bleak setting and story that actually has characters that you get invested in
A lot of in-jokes to the series in general, almost making fun of itself at a lot of points
It managed to turn an incredibly weak sentai series with a lot of weird shit into mad max with cute robots
Plus, the show doesn't even center around the main trio of rangers (the red ranger isn't even the main character), and focuses around two others for a good chunk of the show
It has a lot of good twists and goes to some dark places for a kids show, it's incredibly funny without being super obnoxious and is almost a love letter to power rangers and the people that grew up with it
its disney's last power rangers series before they canceled it and saban got the rights back, and it shows that they basically just said "fuck it we're going all out" and put a lot of work into what should have been an incredibly shitty adapation of an incredibly shitty sentai
just watch it, I hate dancing around shit for the sake of spoilers

Frankly, the first few seasons aged poorly. Especially the first one. I fucking hated how they tried to redo it for Samurai. The Power Rangers were dull(well, except for Billy and maybe Kimberly). The Villains and the bullies were far more entertaining.
