Target had an attractive bundle at 250 dollars, only Wal-mart had the bundle for the same price.
PS4 had two major releases in Japan this week. Wii U only had Amiibo Festival which no one gives a shit about.
It's not rocket science. Wii U is probably going to pick up steam going into the holidays like is usually has the last couple of years, especially since Splatoon is outselling Mario Kart in that region.

Who here remembers how they failed? Here's a quick rundown:Strong start, gained traction and kept growing, but eventually they were too slow to change and keep up with the market, the ceo's fucked everything up, and eventually they slowly died out. Because they didn't keep up with the market. If Nintendo doesn't do something quick they're fucked, not fucked like next week they'll die, but the grave will be dug. This is a dark time for vidya. Everything is becoming too similar, there arenkt any large advancements being made yet. Casuals are turning to phones while enthusiasts are building pc's. Consoles could be the next arcades, their time is numbered.

Sega had a few issues
For one, all their internal divisions were fighting against each other. Sega Japan and Sega America operated like completely individual companies and wouldn't cooperate. At the same time you have the arcade division spending like it's still the 80s and a pinball division doing god knows what. Nintendo at least has their divisions working for a common goal
At the same time, Sega only ever had one or two key franchises. You can't sell a console like that, just ask Bonk on the Turbo Grafx. Meanwhile, every Nintendo franchise has a guaranteed fanbase that will go out and buy the newest console just to play. The bases might not be CoD big or whatever the flavor of the month is, but it seems to be enough
Three, Nintendo's strategy for a while now has been to sell their consoles at a profit while everyone else sells at a loss. Even with no 3rd party support Nintendo still makes some money
Four, if worse comes to worse, theyll just announce a Pokemon mmorpg cash grab
