Same anon that posted that here, a trick I learned while doing the races, while doing sharp turns, mash the jump, you're turning in a way where you'll be pushing yourself the way you're turning, due to being really low to the ground on that side.
The second I learn that, as soon as I had my winning race with Erol in hero mode, I got the gold medal time in that race.
The only thing that's truly a pain in the ass in how hard it is, is the red gun course in both II and 3.

3 at least lets you backtrack for ones you miss, II has a habit of making some misables, thankfully if you're only going for the cheats and not the trophy, there's 286 orbs, and you only need 200 to unlock everything.
3 is a lot nicer, you can go back to earlier levels, but on top of that you also have an extra 600 from hero mode to unlock everything.

The antigravity gun from Jak 3 was one of the coolest things I've never seen in another game. More games need to do something like that, I'd love to see it in a CUHRAYZEE game.

A fun fact for people since Jak II never tells you, you can attack with the jet-board with and of your R1 tricks.
They removed that in Jak 3 however, and you just have that wave attack, that the game DOES tell you about.

You're not even guaranteed the orbs in II either, if you pause at the wrong time or die at the wrong time as it's supposed to give you your orbs but it completes the mission, it won't give you the orbs.
