once you get god tier rep, taverns go silent when you enter, men look away and bandits literally flee in fear from you. When your a rookie you might have some punkass drunk just try and glass you when you ask for directions.
some cases you can get three-ten to Yuma style battles where you have to escort your quarry to the martials office and train for trial and fight off his gang that's come to spring him

NMH 1 has the infamous overworld, cash grinding and weak side missions. The best sword breaks the game by having a gorillion invincibility frames on charged attacks.
NMH 2 is strictly better, but it lacks a bunch of the little details that made NMH 1 charming. Also there's no in-game explanation of the new parry mechanic, which REALLY comes in handy during the final fight.

A Pokémon game where you can start in any region and play through all of them consecutively. Things progress a bit differently depending on where you start and what order you play each region in. Each region can be played with older or newer graphics (if it's had a remake) and older or newer music (again, if it's had a remake). Pokémon can follow you around, Battle Frontier, basically each region would have what made it special. For instance, Kanto's Safari Zone, Johto's Bug-Catching Contest and Pokéathlon, Hoenn's Battle Frontier, and whatever Sinnoh and Unova had that was special, since I admittedly can't remember. Pic related is the best I could find of a map with all the regions on it. Pretty sure it's got several fan-made regions.

Ehh, imo, it was way worse.
Yeah there's a greater difference in your beam katanas, and you can switch them out in-game, but it takes forever to switch them for some reason, and what's more, enemy balance is fucked. It's like Ninja Gaiden 2, projectile spam all over the place. It's possible to get knocked on the ground and get shot at continuously while you're on the ground, preventing you from getting up. It's bullshit.
Boss design isn't as good as the first game's either.
A game that acts as a social circle for making friends that care about you and want to see you when you're around.
