Good. It's really good. Plague Knight is even better.
I think his game is great, and the DLC makes it even better. Yacht Clubs is one of the few indie devs that I think has some real potential. They seem a bit too nice and lend him out to anyone that asks, but I like to see other studios change his looks like in the OP.
I wish they would work faster on DLC and backer goals but without rushing them. 1 year for each new batch feels just a bit too long even for a small indie team unless they're still working other jobs.
I would say that I would buy a sequel in a hearbeat but if enough people have that attitude, then they'll just slap together a kickstarter and half-ass a whatever sequel with any polish or quality that made Shovel Knight amazing a game. I suppose we will get one in due time. just gotta be patient.

Really good game. An indie game that doesn't limit itself because of "muh nostalgia". It is overrated but it does deserve praise for what it did right. Haven't played it on other systems but it was a really solid 3ds game.

the only bosses that suffer from Spark Mandrill syndrome (stunlock to death) is the first Black Knight encounter. King Knight is a joke but that was by design.

Fun game, I was a little disappointed in how typical the gameplay was, but the character designs more than made up for it and I played through the whole thing and had a good time.
I didn't play plague knight and don't know if I will anytime soon, but if they made a Shield Knight campaign or game I would buy it without thinking.
