Summerset is already been deactivated naturally and even then the location would be amountain to climb
Greensap is a possibility with all the trees rooting themselves to the ground, but I hope not because I FUCKING HATE ELVES, if it is there at best we might get some banter with the neighboring country Elsweyr cutting down all the trees for banter

Keep dreaming, its too weird and homogeneous an area which would require tons of effort to not make it boring(it would be forest forest forest and more forest for the entire map) and to make it lore correct (walking tree that has a city on it).
The game will be set on Hammerfell and it will get praised for having a "unique setting". Not many RPGs take place in what is pretty much the Middle East.

Kirkbride has hinted that the overarching conflict between elves and men is going to be expanded upon
Hammerfell or potentially High Rock, we might see Summerset Isles eventually, but that wont be before the Thalmor are defeated or weakned in some way.

I always had the idea of a game that was Blackmarsh and mainland Morrowind.
This gives you good variation in landscape and the plot could be that something is happening the swamp making it easier for outsiders to enter.

Right now its an absolute mess with the Dunmer being forced out of their land and the Argonians taking over, its an interesting setting but not much would happen. Just imagine a bunch of degenerates hanging around streets who don't speak common tounge, or you could take a trip to the UK and get the same experience

Going with the "Story" in Skyrim, the next game will be in Summerset Isles because The Radiationborn needs to kill The Thalmor.
I don't know anything about the Isles because I've long-since stopped caring about the Lore of TES, but if I had things my way, I'd rather go to Hammerfell and yarr-harr it up.

How come nobody ever suggests the mainland portion of Morrowind?
TES3 was great, Dragonborn was great, I want more of both.
Akavir at the time Uriel V tried to invade it would be just perfect. The game could start in one of the conquered cities, and we'd have all the normal races plus the akaviri races to play as. Then the player would, as the main questline progresses, go deeper and deeper into Akavir and experience it's different cultures and shit.
Placing the next Elder Scrolls games in Akavir would be a huge change of setting, adding many things to the lore and allowing us to see many different places, races, religions and traditions instead of the same old Tamriel.
But it's a shame that this would take a lot of work, and Bethesda would rather stick to an easier place to make the new game in, like Hammerfell or Black Marsh
