What games can you play as a beastmaster?
Why are beastmasters so under-represented in games?
Balance issues.
>Pet is easily killed, leaving you vulnerable (World of Warcraft)
>Pet is ridiculously overpowered, you don't need to do a thing (Ragnarok Online)
>Pets are just a gimmick (Every MMO/RPG ever)
Closest things would be Pokemon, Digimon, or even Yokai Watch, but those are all childrens' games.

Homunculus farming in that BDSM dungeon place is both hilarious and sad, because just about every other class has to micromanage to not get fucking lynched

man the bird and the dog barely do shit, bird is only good for vision and the dog just has like a 5% slow

Everquest.
It's a weird combination of a monk/shaman with a pet.

Try a druid in Temple of Elemental evil, you have a permanent compainon and you can summon shit nonstop, if you spend a couple feats your summons become pretty good
rift
it used to be OP as fuck too, highest DPS in the game, not sure if still is
Same reasons as Necromancers
Too different from everything else in the game

DnD games have ranger and druid.
Titan quest and grim dawn have some kind of summoners.
ome roguelikes have druids/summoners e.g. TOME
Fallout 4 gives you a dog right off the bat and you can unlock perks for it. There's even one to pacify wasteland creatures. The AI is really solid this time round and it works well, you can talk to him and get him to search areas for loot/containers and sniff out enemies.
I'd say Fallout 4 is your best bet out of current games
The Beastmaster is pretty cool in Darkest Dungeon, but the game itself is pretty frustrating.
