2. You can look at the summary of Lisa:the RPG on the wiki page to get the backstory its really quick.
3. Save often.
4.Bring up a guide for the game. The only problem with this game is the bad pacing and its pretty tough in the beginning. I had alot more fun using the guide so i didn't get completely screwed over.
5. Your companions can be PERMA killed by some enemies hence tip #4.

Part of this game is struggling to survive, so don't cheat yourself out of that. What I mean by that is bad random shit is gonna happen to you all of the time. Don't be a pussy by resetting your game every time it happens; it's part of the game and you should always be able to recover somehow.

Don't really try to look shit up online on your first playthrough. Like, seriously, the experience of the first time playing through is betty good. The game is legitmately one of my favorite games of all time, so yeah, play it and enjoy it faggot.

Perma death is a thing for your companions
If you activate pain mode it makes it so you can only use each save spot once. This led to some frustrating moments my first playthrough, but it's definitely 100% possible. There's enough save points, especially later in the game when you'd need them. Just play the fucking game and get off /v/.

I played this through for every reason but the gameplay, turn based games make me pretty mad because of how little control you have over a fight while it's in progress. You either have the numbers or you don't, there's no "if you're good enough you can avoid this insta-kill attack." Then I managed to lose a party member literally every fucking time I rested, I just ended up save scumming whenever RNG fucked me over.
Fuck turn based games.
Whenever a party member died I left them that way, until Nern died, fuck that shit not leaving Nern dead for no man
