In SSB4, does Mewtwo's Confusion (Side B) have different hitboxes for reflection vs. the state-based "grab" and flip?
I've only wiffed a projectile bounce with it a few times, and each one usually knew I was too slow/fast when it happened. However, I seem to have a miserably time connecting with it as a physical attack, and was wondering if it worked differently between the targets.
Also, I guess any Mewtwo advice you guys have I'd love to hear. I usually only play with my friends, so I try to keep my Smash nice and clean, but I REALLY wanna get better with Mewtwo, so I'm willing to gloss through some meta if need be.
I'm pretty sure it has the same hitbox because you can hit the person shooting the projectile and reflect the projectile onto them at the same time
Also Mewtwo is great fun but do realize he's just not very good, sadly. Master some aerial combos and learn to edge cancel Up B, if you haven't.

Follow up question, something in the back of my head wants to say that in Melee, Mewtwo was functionally lighter in the air than he was on the ground. Is this, or was this ever, a thing, or did I just make it up?

Who cares about fucking Melee
>>318051804
I've had many a match end in disaster because his Teleport ricocheted me of the bottom/side of the map.. is there a trick to it?
And I'm actually pretty inept with him in the air as of now. I don't a single other character with a giant loopy second jump and HATE it, but I'll just have to eat that I suppose.

No one except for bad people.
I only mentioned that it was my only tether for that odd and possibly false memory. I was more asking if it was a thing at all, leaving room for the chance it was a mechanic in the previous version but isn't anymore
Where'd everybody go?

I miss when people made fun of Mewtwo not being in Smash 4. Those were fun.

You show up in literally every thread I type out the name of that game in.
Please, keep hating, it sustains me.
I'm gonna hop back into TR4SH and have actual fun with real live friends, so run back along to Melee and count frames and try to see how popular 4-stocking people with Fox gets you.

That was lovely, thank you

The thing with his jump is that it's kind of slow and weird but, very much like Ness's, it gives you a ton of control of where you're going and gets you very far. It makes him very good at follow up in the air.
>>318055005
That's so weird, it always does the exact opposite for me.
I try to follow up in the air, but I only need to go so far, and his jumps sends me flying so far past them that they have time to even get hit, land, and punish me before I can get back down.
Obvious I just need to "GIT GUD", but... what should be his strength works against me.
I LOVE him on the ground though. I love his grabs, and I'm fairly apt at connecting with Disable.
>fun fact
Without player-input struggling, Mewtwo's Disable, if the target is on ~90%, staggers the opponent long enough to fully charge his Down-Smash.
>another fun fact
Mewtwo's Down-Smash, if fully charged, is powerful enough to eject every single character in the game on ~ 90% or less. It can take out Bowser on a flat 90%, and Jigglypuff on 60%.
>>318051446
The reflection hitbox lasts longer than the grab hitbox.
>>318051446
Mewtwo isn't as bad as people say. Learn his jump cancel Usmash combos, focus on boxing people out and forcing them to approach you with Shadowball. When landing, use Confusion's little lift to make it unclear when you're going to hit the ground.
>>318055759
Dsmash also has almost no endlag
Throw that bitch out for free if you think they'll spotdodge or something
>>318056292
Mewtwo isn't bad, it's just that he's huge, light and slow. If he was heavier and had a somewhat faster movement speed he would be really good.

When does /v/eekend usually start? I've had no fun in For Fun today. Everybody is worse than Hitler
>>318056531
It's beautiful.
But against even a level 9 CPU, if you connect with Disable on 90% or higher, you can fully charge a Down Smash for an automatic ejection. Human player can struggle out, but about !00% a connect with Disable is a death sentence, as they're staggered longer, and his Smash doesn't need to be fully charged to eject them.

Based on stream views, sales and longevity, a lot more people than Sm4sh

People don't care about Melee, they care about those playing it and twitch meems

Melee was perfect if you wanted to lose all your friends.
It's deep game had so much potential for cruelty it stopped being fun... if that's how you get your kicks, than that's your business, and I'd never say Melee was a bad game. But I saw people get 4 stocked at tournies, and people cheered while I looked on in horror. I don't believe that it was a good fight if your opponent couldn't fight back. Melee was about utterly shutting your opponent down, and that's not fun for me. If the match would have been the same if your opponent's controller was unplugged, than what's the point of even playing? What did you prove?
SM4SH is MUCH more geared towards knock-out, neck-n-neck fights, and that's what's fun for me and my friends.
