Legend of Grimrock 2
Basically it's the only game in its genre (western RPG dungeon crawler) that exists (the genre died about 20 years ago but Grimrock revived it flawlessly), it has amazing graphics and a large open world with interesting enemies and puzzles and infinite options for party creation. You can even play it without the automap, and use graph paper to draw your map as you go exploring the world. Basically i shill for this game at every opportunity. It's Dungeon Master, but improved in every aspect.
Thief. Explore haunted ruins and strange manors at night is comfy as fuck.
Bayonetta 2 is literally (I'm actually using this term properly) a 10/10 game.
Absolutely perfect, without a doubt best action game in existence, better than DMC3 and Revengence.
If you have a Wii U or know someone who owns a Wii U, buy it and play that shit.

Undertale is genuinely my favorite game of the year.
I played Witcher, MGSV and Fallout 4. I liked W3 a lot more than the latter ones, MGSV wasn't all bad, but thats likely because its my first MGS game, so I just had a ton of laughs balooning sheeps and such.
Fallout 4... If I had to think of something positive to say about F4, I'd say that it feels like it'll get a lot of mods, good ones too.
But thats entirely based upon F4 being full of little things that I want changed. Stuff like, the charge of a fusion core. It should last longer. Stuff like that.
Undertale, however, from the perspective that it has produced almost entirely by ONE guy, its so thoroughly finished.
The music is top notch and fits the game.
The gameplay is.. Different. The demonization of playing it like you would any of the 3 aforementioned games is just such a great idea.
The whole psychopath road is just fucked up. Being able to carry out your sick fantasies, and having the game... comment on your behavior, is just... messed up.
Breaks the fourth wall unlike anything I've ever experienced.
The story is amazing. Not so much that it blows your mind with PSYCHO MANTIS or anything like that, but just the consistency of it.
Changing the color of the font even impacts the story. You'll find an alphabet in the color you didn't like in the waste recycling area. Everything has a consequence, or at least, some interaction with how the story unfolds.
The whole 'true ending' thing is also incredible.
You will only ever be able to get 1 true ending on your machine, unless you clean it -very- thoroughly, as in, using an image or completely reinstalling the OS, to see the other. The game won't let you get the good ending if you initially got the bad one, and the other way around.
I'm an IT technician, and Undertale is just... a programmers wet dream. Undertale alone has more story branching than all of the GOTY contestants put together!

It's a Supernatural Wild West XCOM, with enough uniqueness to set itself apart from it.

The puzzles that made you return later tickled my autism because there are plenty of beatable puzzles that make no sense at all but you can complete whenever, and I never knew which ones they were without looking it up.

It might be a little short but, it's quirky, emotional, has a great soundtrack and some cool moments. The past part about it is that it employs narrative through gameplay, something I wish more games did. An example is how early on, Toriel's attacks will avoid you entirely when your health is low, for obvious reasons at the time.

Nah, there were a few that revolved around spells you may or may not have or certain items you don't get until later. The center area that connects most everything in particular had one or two that I couldn't do immediately and thanks to the spell puzzle in one of the nearby areas I didn't think I could do a number of them even though I totally could.
