I'm not sure what the maps issue is right now. I heard something about "only 4 maps" but I've definitely played more than that.
This is a super enjoyable game from what I've played with the best atmosphere in a Star Wars game yet, and generally in a game at all.
I know the DLC is going to be a nightmare. I've never bought DLC before but if it's significant I guess £15 every 3 months I can live with.

The core mechanics of the game are okay, but I don't see anyone playing longer than a few weeks until dlc comes out (if you even get the dlc, which should of really just been part of the core game). The main problem is just the lack of content, especially in contrast to the expectations battlefront 2 had raised back then. Battlefront only has 4 maps and 11 weapons (no secondaries either), 7 vehicles etc.

I like the game but there is just so little in it. You play for good 30 minutes and see all the maps of that game mode 2 times.
They just need to add more weapons and maps and most of all fix the maps that currently are in the game so that they are balanced and balance out some weapons (DL-44).
Sullust is just bullshit on rebel side and supremacy as a gamemode is just plain bad design. They should've gone with the normal conquest game mode that was in battlefront and battlefield, I don't know what they were thinking when they decided not to do conquest.
Supremacy is extremely hard to win after you lose first and second cap point. That's just bad design, both teams should have equal chances of winning at all times, but mostly defending just gets harder and harder the more capture points you lose.

Its this. DICE might have made 12 maps but, instead of being 12 big BF type maps, they only made a few big ones and the rest small ones. Get this through your head, theres only 4 maps for the good and popular modes because all the uninspired modes essentially waste the rest. In turn, making a game that already lack depth even less varied and repetitive fast, specially if you would only play walker assault for example.

Bfront II is still the better game without contest.
BfrontII has better movements, shooting, maps, OPTIONS for how to go about battles, more heroes, the much needed ability to remove heroes from the map, better balancing thanks to each faction having a solid counter-vehicle to each other, and along with having classes comes seeing more variety in troopers. Not all EU shit either, but imperial gunners, scouts, jump troopers, and commanders are all there.
All the new Bfront offers are touched up visuals and.... air battles? I guess? It's really just an extension of ace combat horizon anyway, which was an awful game.

I havent played CSGO in a long time but the last time I did the server browser was still there but no one was using it. Tooooons of empty servers and I could barely find a decent large game to join like I always played on in the older games. Everyone just uses the matchmaking they added.
