So "Official Capcom UK" recently posted the first ever video showing off the game and it looks fuckin amazing.
I want to point out something that really shows how much better the game will work on pc. Skip to 1:52 and look at the cyclops.
In the original console version the camera pans down almost 2 deconds before the cyclops lowers his head and roars. This indicates that the game really wasnt meant to be played with 30 and less fps.
Now that in the pc it runs on 60 the camera moves at the correct moment instead of just showing the cyclops gut for 2 seconds.
Also the textures look WAAAY better which also means that they had to compress everything to shit to get it to run on consoles.

It uses MT so not very. Texture/model mods are the very best you can hope for. Just look at the mods for RE or DMC and that will give you a good idea of what to expect.

Don't play the warrior. You will only have three skills. Why? Because the devs hate you, that's why. Not because they thought that this is his style, the way he goes, with few means. Not because they had a specific playstyle in mind or because sometimes restricting the player adds to the experience. No. They hate you and don't want you to have fun. No one has fun with the warrior.
Don't level as the warrior. It doesn't matter that he has the best augments for physical classes. No one uses them. Just do like everyone else says and level as assassin. Those 20-30 extra physical attack sure make up for it for being so squishy in every regard.
Just don't play him. Play one of the hybrid classes. You will have an answer to almost every problem and be super overpowered. While not being dependant on other classes, you can throw the party-balance out of the window. No serious fights, no struggle, no clenching your teeth, just casually steamrolling through the game. Here lies your fun.

That's a flat out lie. Indomitable Lash can kill most mobs easily, and Arc of Deliverance is THE boss killer.

Your stats from leveling don't mean shit in the long run. Even going the full 200 levels for maximum status compared to the worst possible stat gain, you're only missing a couple hundred points of power when your weapons at that level will be worth well over a thousand. Not to mention "min maxing" tends to fuck you in some other important area like stamina or health, so it's really not worth it.
People, just change jobs whenever you fucking feel like it and keep your weapons up to date - you'll be fine.

That's actually wrong. Going Warrior is great for a Ranger since you get more strength, which is used for physical damage.
And besides, personal stats don't matter. Augments and weapon stats are what's important.

Interviews with the DD developers post-game release. They had trouble adapting MT Framework to the open world nature of the game and they had to heavily modify the engine for it to fit, and even in the end it was hard due to performance issues.

this shit is actually true though. warrior is pretty terrible when you get to do the end game shit. it will get you through the main story just fine, but end game... it's so frustrating trying to get a warrior to level 200 in a reasonable time. i can easily get any other vocation to level 200 in less than 12 hours. i gave up trying on the warrior since you just can't beat the ur dragon reliably with him.

Just go fight that skeleton summoning dude outside of the great wall encampment a few times with the charms for double exp/money. Still gets you shitloads of exp and is way easier to just farm skeletons without your pawns. Your pawn get massive bonuses to exp if they are lower level than you, so it can catch up super easy.

you'll want to level up a few different ones anyway; each class has passive perks that can be unlocked, and once they are, then they can be used no matter what class you are currently using
but magic archer is probably the most powerful in terms of DPS and damage types

So I know it's hard for nubs because the wolves in this game are a little different from other video gamewolves. Hell I beat DD like 3 times and sometimes if I forgot what wolves do I would still get my shit kicked. But the trick is knowing how wolves act, and what their tactical approaches are for combat. Now that's out of the way, let's get started.
So The first thing you'll notice is that yes, there are, in fact, wolves in this game. Don't let that fool you. These wolves use a state of the art advanced AI developed by the masterful Oriental prgrammers at Campcom to really fuck with you. Quite frankly, nothing of this ilk has been contrived of before nor hence, so know that you're in for a real surprise. These wolves CAN and WILL form groups, herein known as "packs" to use their numbers against you. The formation of these large packs, facilitated by the afore mentioned stunningly advanced AI, make them a formidable foe. Why do the wolves form packs? Stfu and let me tell you. The wolves from packs so that they may be more effective at HUNTING. Many mouths to feed means much hunting. I won't get into too much detail in this chapter, but know this: If you see a pack, it's almost certain that they are hunting- and if you find a hunt, know that the pack follows

This is when I was yet again positively surprised by this game and I didn't even see it coming
they could have improved the ground textures just a bit... looks washed out
So obviously we won't be getting any skyrim-esque mods that drastically change gameplay or add a whole bunch of shit, but do you think we'll get to fuck around with simple model/texture/sound replacement and get to mess about with shit like cheat engine? Warriors with six skills, hybrid class pawns, skills from other classes? I kinda hope so, see if it makes for slightly more interesting pawns in the rift, though it'll also introduce a whole bunch of retardedly overpowered ones.
I kind of want to mish-mash a few spells onto my mage pawn to make her more debuff-support than a healslut. Grapnel, blearing, sopor, lassitude, perdition, that kind of thing. They're all staff skills, but spread out over mage, sorcerer, mystic knight and magick archer. Shit ain't right. Pic related, what I want my pawn to be.
Last time I played as an Assassin, now I'm contemplating between Magick Archer or Ranger, any suggestion?

set your pawn to nexus
make sure you give them an attitude and r8 other pawns
if you're having trouble with the endgame (BBI) switch to a warrior because it absolutely steamrolls every single boss there, especially the final one

Different classes have different stat scaling when you level up. If you do 20 levels as a mage then switch to warrior, you will have a high but useless magic stat and a worthless physical attack stat.

It'll probably be possible to replace models, textures and sound files with very little trouble (since it's already possible on modded 360s and PS3s).
Mixing non-passive abilities between classes could mess the game up though since most of the class unique abilities have specific animations tied to specific weapon types.
As long as the game gets popular enough and as long as Capcom doesn't lock the game files down with some crazy ass encryption, we might even be able to rewrite some parts of the game and/or add new stuff to the game on our own.

There's no reason there would be any AI in the game to support those classes.
And even so there are a lot of online related issues.
Been firing up DD on my dusty 360 for some good old times:
Stuff I learnt was:
- You can get a Ring of Perseverance from BBI at level 5, pretty much anyone who played Dark Arisen before is going to want to do this as it's a fun challenge and going through the entire rest of the game with 33% more Discipline Points is worth it. Also possible to get a Level 3 Novelty and some Level 1 Armor, and tons of Gear Level 1 but you'll also need to scavenge a ton of RC if you want to purify more than a few things.
- Rusty Sorcerer Staff Level 3 is pretty easy to make and makes high level encounters a complete breeze because it's borderline broken with Miasma.
- You can combine Rusty and Aneled weapons + Morbidity Augment and give every monster in Gransys AIDS.
- Never level up Spells on Mage Pawns without being absolutely sure because its better to force them to cast the quicker version.
- Legion's Might is absurdly broken on support mages.
- Wolves hunt in packs.

Grigori Dating Agency was what made this game a classic, to me.
It's that sort of zany entertainment only a video game can pull off - crafting a wide RPG romance system where every single NPC in the game can become your beloved, but it never tells you this and it almost always ends up being some dude you talked to alot because you wanted to buy his hats.
The diversity of different and utterly undesired NPCs that people managed to accidentally get hitched with will always be funny.

Save Editing revealed alot of the "guts" of the game such as how pawns worked, including that there was that class. It can use any weapon or armor but it would crash the game on a whim.

Building classes is about Augments, not stats.
You need the Prescience augment from the fighter, level 7.
You need the Perpetuation augment from the mage, level 7
You also need the Sorcerer augments - pretty much all of them are good but you want to max it out and get Articulacy and Gravitas.
Stability from maxing out the Ranger class is also an option, it's good on anyone.
Get all these augments and you'll probably have a health mix of stats, which is the most important thing for an MK.

Any class is viable. Min/Maxing stats may make you think a class isn't good but that's not the case. It's really the equipment that matters. You might do more damage with a single hit compared to a few hits with another class but just play what you want.
