If anyone had any doubts about this game being GotY, the DLC turned them into believers. I don't even feel like playing Dark Souls III anymore, I had my fill with Bloodborne and they're definitely not topping this DLC in terms of level, character, enemy, world and boss designs.

With TOH, it's GOTY for me, no question. Bloodborne honestly feels like the game From always were building towards imo, calling it souls with a twist doesn't really do it justice.

The only thing about the DLC I really don't like is the massive spike in difficulty compared to the end of the game. It feels like you're stepping into a Depth 5 chalice on NG, and I can only imagine it feels worse on NG+ runs

I almost agree with this, but there are a few things I just can't wrap my head around. Blood flasks being a vastly inferior healing system compared to estus flasks, for example, and being unable to teleport from lantern to lantern. I can only imagine how awful it must have been when the loading times were longer and didn't have item descriptions to read.
I'd have liked some more large scale interconnectivity in the world, too. It was one of DaS' strengths, and the major advantage of it being open world as opposed to DeS' archstones, but now they combined the two and kind of lost what made either work.
The rest is absolutely fantastic though. It's definitely one of my favorite games.

99 percent of the people whining about the difficulty of the DLCs are whining because they're getting one-shot by enemies in NG+ and beyond.
I don't know what FROM has done with patch 1.07, but it seems as if they've revamped the damage output and health of enemies in NG+ to be much higher than it was in the previous patch.
Unless you are super, duper good at downloading enemy movesets, then I suggest you play at NG. If you don't have an end-game character ready, just fucking speed through a new character. It shouldn't take you anymore than 4-5 hours if you know what to do to get to the DLC when you start a new character.
I personally started with a new character and have only died about 3 times at the most to each boss. Other people, who started in NG+ and beyond, are reportedly dying 40-50 times on the harder DLC bosses.

Resolution and fps means fucking nothing. And people who play on the ps4 at least have access to both games (dark souls 2 and bloodborne) whereas pc only fags have access only to dark souls 2.

Dark Souls 2 is 60fps on PS4 yes but you seem to yet again misunderstand what I meant by "improvements can go a long way". Not just fps. You can have custom effects and lighting with GeDoSaTo. Custom textures. Make mods to the UI that make it look gorgeous like transparency and so on.
Optimization and performance have a part in a game's quality. Some people can overlook different things. Like you could overlook the fact that Fallout 3 crashed every hour but it does have an effect on its quality as a game. The same goes for glitches, fps drops and having to upscale 720p to 1080p for some last gen games.

It's true but they DeS and DaS have at the same time a lot more in common than let's say DeS with BB or DaS with BB or even DaS 2 with BB. BB is very different when you start from the setting to the story and the art direction not the least. BB only heavily borrows gameplay mechanics and concepts from the other Souls games.
Dark Souls 1 - the undisputed, hands down best game in the series
Demon's Souls - an excellent game, with some of the most entertaining movesets in the series with upgrade paths that actually matter
Bloodborne - Demon's Souls: lite, has the fast pace of Demon's Souls with a plentiful amount of iframes and lacks some of the less important stats, does not have item burden and does not even have equip burden

I played ALL the versions of the Souls games, with the only one I missed being PC's version of scholars of the first sin, which I have access to on my PS4 due to game sharing, meaning I also played the vanilla versions of both the ps3 and pc. And despite graphics/fps improvements, the core game stays the exact same and no amount of downsampling of FPS unlocking will make up for ANY of the shortcomings of these games because they are fully enjoyable in the state they are. This isn't some dragon's dogma shit where performance really is a thing that renders the game down.

Not him anon, but you are just pointing the flaw of the vanilla game. It was said from the start that Bloodborne lacked some sort of replayability compared to the souls game because of the lack of weapons. They fixed something which should have been in the main game here.
For the rest, it is a good addition, but when you want more of the same game, giving something which is like 1/5 of the game, is not satisfying enough. 20 bucks is a bit much considering how much more you'd want of the game.

Depends on the mods. If I install a mod that gives me better control management or better controls or better immersion due to further customization that doesn't necessarily have to be clear visual improvements but things like whatever aspect ratio I chose ultra-wide, widescreen, 5:4, 4:3 or whatever the fuck I want you can be sure I will have a better time than what a console only person will experience.

The moonlight sword and the bow use Dark Souls movesets. Also most weapons on dark souls had a unique set. You don't play with a Balder Sword like with a broadsword. Bloodborne clearly lacked more different weapons. Having some movesets overlapping isn't a flaw as it gives more choices as long as movesets are not identical.

The base game is a mixed bag. Level design isn't as good as in Demon's souls or Dark Souls but visually it's the best looking one. Gameplay is alright but even with the dlc it doesn't offer as much variety as the souls games in terms of build variety. Different builds don't really change how you play the game.
DLC is the best part of the package easily in terms of level design and bosses (and not just because they're hard).

The lift to Research Hall is literally Amelia's bossfight area, so they could have just had that lift function the same way in the regular game and let it take you up to Research Hall, Maria and the Fishing Hamlet. Could have let the lift taken you down to the Cells and Ludwig.
