I played it, but the combat is just too boring for me in general, all enemies seem like they have way too much HP. The free roaming and world in general are amazing though, you actually feel like you're a small insignificant survivor on an alien planet, the flora and fauna is so fucking varied and feels so natural, and you get fucked in the ass if you venture into the wrong place.

How does ether functions? Are some Arts based on ether, and will get greater strenght when you equip ether gear?
How do I know party member benefits from what stats? And how do I know what every individual stat does?
Can I react to my opponent in a turn based fasion? I remember in Xenoblade this wasn't the case expect for the moment where time freezes and you could react to it.

all the gameplay I see makes enemies look like fucking damage sponges, and I also don't like how it seems that auto attacks are like spitballs and 95% of the damage comes from arts. is this a correct assumption? if so, is it a problem or will I not notice?
I know how the different skell frames differ in stats based on weight class, but how much actually is it? like how much faster does a light frame go than a heavy frame? how much more fuel does the heavy frame have compared to the light frame? is it like double or only something like 25% more? do the light frames have so little fuel that you actually have to use a heavy frame when travelling across the map so you don't run out?

- Most of your damage will come from Artes yes, auto attacks are there mostly to fill up your TP and restore your cooldowns.
- Light skells aren't faster per se, they just have more evade and different stats all around. If I'm not mistaken there are skells that have better melee or ranged stats in each category, for example: there's a heavy skell specialized in melee, one in ranged, a melee medium, a ranged medium, a melee light, a ranged light, etc...
Also, travelling costs almost no fuel. The only thing that costs significant fuel are the Super Weapons. Heavy skells have a lot more fuel but I don't think your fuel capacity is that important. They are also much more expensive than lighter frames so the money you save on a light skell makes up for what you'd be paying in fuel.

Knowing when to let something complete a second cooldown, or if you should topple, or when to switch aggro between characters by going in or falling back or using certain buffs/debuffs, whether or not you should build your Arts Palette around arts that have good immediate effects, or poorer immediate effects but great effects in certain situations, or if you should clutter it up with skills that synergize for additional effects when used in a particular order after each other...
When you're going up against Tyrants or World Enemies, things can get just as hectic as in any other game if you're not careful / observant.

Main plot:
MSG -> Zeta -> ZZ -> Char's Counterattack -> Unicorn
Four OVA side-stories came out between CCA and Unicorn: War in the Pocket, Stardust Memory, The 08th MS Team, and IGLOO. They're skippable, but I would watch the first two at least.
Then there's a timeskip. The post-timeskip continuity is:
F91 -> Crossbone (manga) -> Victory -> G-Savior
These are pretty loosely connected (except Crossbone is a sequel to F91), so you can watch or skip as you please. Especially G-Savior.
Then there's a REALLY LONG timeskip, followed by Turn A and Reconguista in G. It gets a bit complicated so let's leave it at that.
AND THEN there's The Origin, which is a prequel/reboot of MSG. It's available as a manga, or the ongoing anime adaptation.
Then there are the spinoffs/AUs, which have pretty much nothing to do with any of the above. The titles are pretty self-explanatory (e.g. SEED Destiny is the sequel to SEED), so you probably don't need help with them.
And finally there's Build Fighters, which is a light-hearted sports anime spinoff set in modern Japan. It references EVERYTHING above, but I guess you can just watch it whenever.

Xenoblade X doesn't really have a whole lot in the way of actual healing Arts. You're not going to be playing as Sharla. You have arts that may add a regen over time on top of a pre-existing buff, or arts that will give you regen over time for landing attacks. The game is geared around consistent offense so most of your healing will come from the Soul Voice and Soul Challenge QTEs.

Pikmin 3 was disappointing for me. Pikmin 2 was a game that i really loved and Pikmin 3 is just not on the same scale. I must have put at least 30 hours into pikmin 2, probably close to 50 but I was done with Pikmin 3 after about 10.
Wonderful 101 is fun and a nice twist on character action games or whatever you want to call them. I need to play the second half really but I lost interest when something else came out. You could probably pick it up cheap.
Not sure about DKC:TF but I would very much like to play it. Stellar soundtrack and DKCR was fun.

If you're interested in W101 you should also think about getting Bayonetta 2. Dong Freeze was great. Mario 3D World was also pretty good as far as platformers go. Haven't played Pikmin 3 myself.

Remember that just about any Wii game can play on the Wii U, and that you can pretty easily mod the Wii Mode with homebrew just like you would a regular Wii (which I did so I could actually play Xenoblade Chronicles since at the time there was no announcement of the 3D or eshop versions).
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate's alright, although the online is nearly completely dead so you'd need to check the general to set something up. Even if you never hit g-rank or cut out half way through high rank I think it's probably a worthwhile experience.

W101 is great and so is Bayo 2 (comes with 1 if you never played it). Tropical Freeze is amazing but I feel they over did it with the collectibles (seriously fuck those puzzle pieces). Haven't played Pikmin 3 but heard fun things about it. Most would recommend you start with the original, just called "Mobile Suit Gundam" then Zeta then ZZ then Char's Counterattack, then Unicorn and all the sidestories.
But if you don't care for older stuff, you can just start with AU stuff like 00 (it's a good entry level show). 0080 takes place in the same universe as the original so you might not completely understand the setting, but it's more or less a standalone anime and my personal favorite in the series. The NPCs you recruit aren't random, they all have their own affinity quests, personalities and roles in the plot. But yeah, you can recruit that particular NPC and change his clothes, which is then reflected in every subsequent cutscenes he appears in, which can lead to funny shit since he's a serious guy and a high-ranking official.
