Depends, if you like disney, final fantasy, and retarded plots, as well as varying quality action RPG gameplay paired with good visual and aural direction, then it might be for you. The GBA one is a one-off that has a 3D remake but no other games like it. The two HD collections on PS3 give you the first 2, the 3D remake of the GBA game, and a port of the PSP game, as well as the cutscenes from two shitty DS games. Then there's 3D, which is probably the first time the gameplay was actually fun, and rumor has it that 1, 2, and 3D are going to be bundled in a PS4 remake at some point. 3 will be out at some point, and it's likely that this game will finally close the door on the main story that has been going since the first game (all the other games serve to fill other game's plot holes while introducing new ones).
I'd say you dodged a bullet but to each his own, some folks love the games.
