I haven't bought anything yet but I might soon. I'm considering Shovel Knight, LISA, and Axiom Verge. I'm 100% on Shovel Knight, but I don't know about LISA and Axiom Verge. I'm about 75% sure on Axiom Verge since it looks pretty cool, but I really don't know about LISA. I've read some really good stuff about it but it just doesn't look that great. It looks okay, like 6/10 from videos on the store page. Maybe they're not a good representation though. Maybe it plays a lot better. Tell me something about it. I'm just not sure about it really.

EL is alright; it's a pretty, polished 4x game with very strong aesthetics and decent gameplay and AI. The DLCs are okay, but nothing to get too excited about. I think AoW3 is the better 4x title if you compare the "full" games. It certainly has better combat.

If you're really a fan of the old Bioware "chosen one thwarts an ancient evil with an eclectic squad of do-gooders (some of which are grumpy!)" plot, some light RPG mechanics, and surface level reactivity, go for it. I still think AP is more interesting and reactive, but it's not nearly as polished. Gameplay for both titles is kind of me.

Except they aren't. The deals are the same garbage deals that we've been getting for the past few major Steam sales. You see, before a couple of years ago, games got BIGGER discounts than they do now. Games that used to go for -75% to -90% on dailies are now going for -50% to -66% on dailies. Plus there are the daily deals that are only -10% to -25% in the past couple of years.
Companies have become massive Jews on Steam. You do realize that this "no dailies or flashes" switch means that companies are far more likely to only give the non-daily/flash prices, right? It's saving you LESS money and you're actually defending holding on to your ankles as you get fucked in the ass.

Most Nep DLC is postgame grind stuff or game-breaker characters/weapons that you won't want to use on a normal playthrough.
Basically if you just want to play through the story you don't need/want any of the DLC. If you like da grindan gaem and want to level everyone to 999 and farm for ultimate gear to beat the overpowered bosses, you need the DLC.

As a fan of the MGS franchise, I hated V and I just can't bring myself to recommend it to anyone. Psychonauts was great during its time, but I think it aged like milk now.

Or you could be smart. Only buy flash sales as they're always the cheapest a game gets. If it's on a daily sale it most likely won't be on flash sale, so buy it then. If it was never on flash or daily sale, but you want it, buy it on the last day.
I miss flash sales. Almost nothing in my wishlist is better than 50% this year and I know it won't be for the rest of the sale. Other years I could hold out for 66% or better, end up with one additional game by the end with some patients and smart spending.
I'm probably just not going to buy many games this year and that'll be it.

Yes, Steam sales are worse than they used to be. They've been worse for a good two years. GMG and Humble have been outdoing Steam lately. But this specific sale has not been worse than the last few sales, and the fact that you no longer have to keep checking back for dailies/flashes just removes an unnecessary layer of bullshit.
Blaming the new sale for something that has been the case for two years is retarded, and so far the new way of doing sales has not led to any worse discounts than what we got in Winter 2014/Summer 2015. I thought it would, thanks to publishers no longer being incentivized to give deep discounts, but it hasn't.

Resident Evil 5 is basically a Resident Evil 4 rehash, right down to themes, with forced co-op and a final quarter that makes the Island look like stellar game design.
Resident Evil 6 adds in some many fucking mechanics it may as well be divorced from the Resident Evil 4 and 5 duology, and is legitimate fun outside of the QTE spam during China. Climb those ropes/elevator cables/grates, you dumb asshole.

its a first person dungeon crawler with good controls and fun puzzles. i have only played the first one, but the only real problem i have is that most of the enemies are extremely easy to maneuver and eliminate because the realtime movement and their horrible abilities to retaliate quick enough. you can literally run circles around your enemies without them standing a chance most of the time (unless of course the room is just a straight line) and you can get trapped if you aren't careful which is maybe why your controls are so lenient. i think it is really good, i recommend it to others and it is a fantastic entry to first person tile based dungeon crawlers

Ziggurat is a solid arena-style FPS roguelite. If you like those, consider it. Not as good as shit like Spelunky, Nuclear Throne or Isaac Rebirth, though.
Metro 2033 got kind of fucked over by the redux, it now uses the LL engine which makes the stealth pathetically easy.

I played it on my 560 at that time, it ran ok. But it runs better on my 750ti, with a 970 you'll be alright. It's nowhere near as bad as say, Arkham Knight's port.
