The base concept of settling disputes with a magical, non-lethal method in Undertale is taken straight out of Touhou and it's setting, but for Undertale it makes zero sense as the human can still easily die even during random encounters.

First half is wrong, the only thing that makes Frisk special is that he has the player's determination to win behind him, which is something real humans can have, since, you know, you are the player.
The latter half is true though, the only reason Frisk was able to beat Omega Flowey andAsriel Dreemurris because they wanted to be with Frisk more than flat out destroy him for good.
Though, considering humans can nuke them selves, I don't know if the whole "entire species is doomed" thing holds water.

Yes, after being assaulted by this guy, you can talk him into leaving you alone, but then he'll just be back in 5 minutes to try and cover you in lava again. God of Hyperdeath and Omega Flowey are examples of monsters with the equivalent of 7 and 6 souls respectively. Though Flowey has a fragment of a monster's soul so 6 soul Asgore would probably be stronger than OF by a lot.

Probably Earthbound, then LISA, then OFF, then Mother 3. It's kind of like a quirky offbase decent game, a somber approach at that decent game that's not quirky, a strange out of left field game, and then a gut-wrencher to end it.
