I recently got an EVGA 980 ti SC+ with the Backplate as an upgrade from a Radeon 7970. Runs everything I throw at it like a dream, but at times if I have a game minimized I hear this weird little scraping sound sometimes from it; never lasts for more than a half of a second but it's noticeable if I'm not wearing headphones.
Should I be concerned? Could this be remedied by changing fan settings? I've tried using Google but nothing I've looked at is similar to what's happening to me.

Even though my GTX 770 as well seems to struggle with the newer games, it tends to still be able to run most things on high at 50-60 fps.
Granted I had to play The Witcher 3 on high at 40 fps, but still, this beats the console pace.
