FPS is the worst genre. They need to make a FPS with damage modeled after Bushido Blade. Take a few rounds to the chest with a vest and die like normal, take a single shot to the thigh and spend the rest of the match on your butt, you can crawl but nothing else. Also you'll bleed out in a few minutes without someone to administer first aid. Otherwise I ain't playing that shit.

Basically, they kept releasing really broken weapons, then nerfing them after everyone bought them, they killed off good maps and released shit ones, just generally had no fucking idea what they were doing.
They assembled all the top players for a "tribal council" and then they did the fucking opposite of what they decided on doing there.
The game is nothing like it used to be. It must've been either a huge fluke for it to be so good at the start or they fired some key employees, but in short: they shat the bed really fucking hard in basically EVERY regard and the only people playing the game now are BRs, RUs, children and people living in denial + like 5 people who don't know any better.

I played a LOT back when it was good, did spinfusor.org scrims and shit, people were starting to recognize me for my 1337 blupl8s and chasing. Not to gloat, but I definitely know what I'm talking about, right?
The game was fucking 10/10 for a long time, like 5 months or so, and then suddenly, patch after patch, it kept getting worse and worse. Be it either retarded balance changes, new overpowered weapons, horrible new maps, whatever, anything they did was making the game get worse. When it was one leg in the coffin, they got a bunch of really good players together and asked their opinion. My team captain went in, too. They decided on a lot of things, what stuff needed to go, what content they should work on, etc. Then, like a week later, they rolled out a new patch where they specifically didn't address any of the issues they discussed previously, but in fact made them even worse, as if to spite everyone. It was at this point I quit, and I haven't looked back. Some of my old teammates still play, and they say it's still an acceptable time-waster, but even the most fanatical one of them agrees that it's just a pile of shit compared to how good it was before.

But it's a video game that relies on its own mechanics IN THE GAME (it is not real life) to provide a smooth and fun experience. Think about it like the 30 bullets that were shot into the enemy were actually just representative of the lack of accuracy and chaos that would hinder an actual shooter's chance of successfully shooting an enemy during a firefight. The difficulty that comes from panic and inaccurate firing are transferred onto the excessive amount of bullets it takes to kill an enemy rather than create some rage inducing sweat simulator that /v/ has wet dreams about but would suck in reality

Well, maybe I'm kinda jaded, I struggle with the whole /fun/ part in singleplayer stuff.
But Euro truck sim at least, it's a solid time sink for when you wanna do something but you don't have the energy to 'do something', so you just drive, follow the gps and listen to podcasts, and as you progress you get to level up stuff, get to buy new trucks with cool features.
In Elite:Dangerous, shit costs so much, and trucking isn't as free flowing due to the warpgates, and finishing a run doesn't always mean you can get a new one, and mining is solid for cash but horribly boring, and new gear costs huge amounts after the first few ships, so it's a really weird limbo of, is it worth it? Especially considering it's pretty much a singleplayer game, just so you can do more of what you were already doing.
Also the game really doesn't promote legal activities at all, being a pirate/bandit is wayyyyyyy more cost and time effective sadly.
I really like the concept of the game and hope the expansions add a lot more to it, but sadly it just doesn't have that chill and effort:reward ratio that say ETS2 has, but I'm probably not playing it in the intended way.
