I just said that real threats aren't necessary, and that the "women are being threatened/harassed" narrative can still be used, even if everyone on the internet ignored these people (which isn't possible), so there's nothing to be gained from self-censorship, but much to be lost.
Also, "threats" and "harassment" are inevitable for people who antagonize a large demographic on the internet, and this doesn't happen exclusively to women. Digital distribution costs little to nothing, and shipping even a small amount of copies overseas would obviously be worth it if the previous games sold hundreds of thousands of copies, and even DOA5 sold more than 1.5M, not including the F2P version which sits at more than 3.5M downloads.
