To be honest what variety would you really have between 2 types of melee demon hunter dps? Many iconic demon hunter abilities were already used in other classes, making 2 different flavours of dps just because "That's how we did it previously" would've been unecessary and they would've stretched their ideas thinly across multiple fronts instead of just concentrating on doing fewer things properly (ish). Nobody should confuse increased quantity with progress.
