Then just go through a few loading screens(fast travel around) without him following you. So far this has worked twice for me

I always played an "explosives expert" in fallout NV. I used grenades, mines and launchers galore. Using bloody mess I had one hell of a time with that game. Can anyone tell me if this is viable in fallout 4?

Spent the last two hours trying to autismfort on spectacle island (after getting the bug that permanently locks the island and having to use a hacky workaround which still doesnt count it as as settlement), but the built-in builder thing just has so many fucking restrictions its insane.
Why the hell am I unable to completely surround a square piece with railings?
Why the hell is it impossible to fill that little gap in the side of some of the pre-fab walls that stick out with railings?
Why can't you link bridges to other pieces and have to guess-place them?
Why is there 2 piece connector that you can use to transfer power through a wall?
Why the fuck is there a bug with wooden roofs that allow you to layer them one after another but then are unable to delete them?
Why am I unable to place a wall or doorway on a floor bit even if it hangs over the edge a bit?

It doesn' work like radaway tho it's more like cure 6 rads/s for 360000 seconds or something.

Anyone else making gorrilions of caps selling mutfruit? I have like 4 settlements growing at least 50 mutfruit each and everytime I harvest, I get about 800 caps.
Haven't even scratched the main quest, or any quest really, I just wander the wasteland looking for stuff, kill shit and make heaps of caps.
Then again I do this with every Bethesda game. I think they do make "a fun game to play" but when it comes down to quests and roleplaying, I just get bored to tears.

how exactly do vendors in settlements work?
I have four Level 3 shops (and one Level 4 thanks to the Vault-Tec dude), but they're all netting me a very small amount of caps everytime I check.
Has anyone noticed those Dead Dolphins near boats? They bleed when you shoot them and if you find one without any damage, you can shoot it and make the stomach explode. . . W-were these gonna be enemies?

why is it impossible to find settlements with good npcs in them. the thing about 3/NV was that, while there would still be areas of super mutants/raiders/etc. there was also a fair share of areas that were random towns with people in them for the odd side quest or weird back stories etc. ive discovered probably 120 locations and its either enemies or nameless settlers where you are supposed to use the shitty building mechanic to make a settlement. pretty disappointing

The thing about the Ripper is that it attack so rapidly that enemies are basically guaranteed to be disarmed/crippled once you have the points in the Melee perk. Combining that with the perk that lets you hit multiple enemies in front of you, as well as the extended blade mod, and it's perfectly viable, especially in tight quarters.

I found a plasma rifle with a two shot special effect. It shoots twice with every 'normal' shot, and the extra shot doesn't consume ammo.

I was able to save Kent using full Silver Shroud gear.

And to be quite honest family, the fact that enemies have a lot of health do make the encounters a bit more challenging, plus the damage that they do. It is simply more efficient to destroy your enemies, not by a headshot all the time, but by other means, for example, targeting the fusion core of power armor, targeting the limbs of deathclaws, etc.

That's why you need the fade distance right, usually having AO fade at the same range grass fades is a good idea.
Alternatively, you can use the keybind to turn it off when foggy weathers kick in.
HBAO and SSGI don't look as shit with fog, but need very finely tuned settings and have a crazy performance drain.
Personally, I use Bethesda's AO with ReShade on top.

Seriously, I've been playing for at least 40-50 hours now, have the Overseers Guardian upgraded to deal 256 damage per round, and after firing half a magazine into a deathclaw's arm on hard, nothing happened except its healthbar dropping. It's true that targeting limbs is still situational, but it's stretching it to call it completely useless. Robots generally take less damage on the head compared to limbs. A limping deathclaw is a sitting duck. Stacking limb damage leads to "stagger-locks".

What i'm saying is, I have yet to even encounter crippled limbs at all. Even after said half magdump into deathclaw, it didn't have it's arm go limp, or swing any less hard, there was no crippling effect at all.
I've been mostly shooting everything in center mass, or aiming for heads on mutants/raiders.
but the times where I aim for limbs, it does nothing. However, I've gotten a leg crippled once or twice, so I know it works on players.
