Maybe you've read Loomis but you aren't able to apply it properly because you need someone to guide you a little more, other times you need to just take a break from it and come back later with a different mindset.
Personally I've been drawing for about 5 years now but was really off and on due to schoolwork and forced conscription, but taking a break from drawing for a few months on end actually helped with my construction after the break. Throwing your head against the wall is what is widely known to make you better, but if it isn't working then come back to it later.

To me, "thickness" is a more even distribution of bone, muscle, and fat. Which all works together to make a fuller, yet still healthy form.
"Plump", is a more generous distribution of fat, over muscle and bone. And by staying healthy, their figure stays taut. And the extra fat only makes certain features bulge a bit more.
Then you just have "fat", where the figure is no longer taut. Typically due to the fact that they aren't in the best health. So the fat gives the body hang. Causing excessive rolls and a drooping belly, and all that stuff associated with being fat.

Yeah, I agree with you, for the most part. Honestly I just say "plump/chubby" so it can be more appealing. If I just say fat then people will either ignore it at best or at worst react like I requested their waifu to become an obese slob. Natural talent's a fucking myth. I failed art in middle school before I was inspired by my friend to take up drawing. It took me five long years to reach the standard in pic related and I only started getting into coloring a month ago. You're jumping all over the damn place and when people tell you to sit down and do drills on the simple stuff that serve as the foundation of things to come you blow them off and want to start off with full requests even though you yourself know you aren't up to snuff. You parade around with your name and tripcode despite not having earned the respect required to not look a total tool with them and you cry about being bullied when you run around in boots too big for you to fill.

Talent DOES exist, some people just "get it" and others don't, what makes a drawing good, how to reach a certain level or make something look a certain way, some people draw like shit for years and improve at snails pace, others never improve at all, while others improve fast as shit in a couple years.
Talent exists, don't get fooled by the "everyone is equal" liberal propaganda. Not having talent doesn't mean you can't get gud, it just means you'll have a harder time than more creative / flexible people.

Talent absolutely is a real thing.
I met a girl online who used to destroy me in fighting games, but now I'm the one wiping the floor with her, to the point where she's raging over her mic because of it.
She started playing before I did and probably plays more on average than I do.
That said, having talent, or not having talent, should not be used as an excuse. I hate how some people attribute people's achievements to their talent, and not the hard work they put into it.

It was very on and off due to schoolwork and forced conscription. I was given pointers by two of my friends but as for actual tutorials I was pretty much on my own. My starting level was around pic related with worse construction and a lot more chicken scratches. I don't have any of that lying around so I just sketched this.
