I was a senior in high school when this got released. I hadn't heard shit about it but I saw a page on ED so I decided to give it a try despite never playing a VN before. Like many plebs, I got Emi's route first. Managed to get the good ending by not being a retard. Getting her good ending left me in this sort of...poignant melancholy, I suppose? I kind of envied Hisao for having someone like that. I played through Shizune's route later in April when I was about to graduate. Something about her good ending was so hopeful and I loved it despite the friend zone memes a lot of the peeps I knew spouted. Seeing Shizune, Misha, and Hisao be so optimistic about their future as my own graduation loomed put things in perspective. I played the other three routes while in a hospital almost a year later. My dad was sick and it helped get me through that time. I'm really thankful that people made this VN. I'm not super hardcore into this medium (or any other medium, really. Entry level pleb all around here) but it made me want to give it a try. There's always going to be a place in my heart for this cute little VN even if it's apparently nothing special.

It's not a perfect game, but it's made well enough that we can feel the emotion and work that was put into it.
