The issue is that there is no room for evolution in the setting or the story.
The fact is that the audience likes a certain setting. A certain environment.
If they advance technology. If they decide hey, so and so faction/story interacts with the new one, a lot can and will change.
So you get stuck in this infinite loop where the environments are still the same (trashy shit all over the ground). Governments rarely progress such as the following. New Vegas: NCR not fully established/presence, BoS same story, Legion same story, House has a small area under his control around las vegas. Fo3: Same story, all factions don't have a ton of control till you complete the final quest. Fo4 is the same story. BoS is new to the land. They got toys, but no influence. NCR and others are none existent. Institute is niche and small. Minutemen all but dead. You get my point.
That's the biggest issue with Fallout. They're going to run out of land to have this game on. It may not be for a few games. I can't say I blame them. I feel like if they actually advanced the overall story and didn't make it look like a wasteland, it probably wouldn't sell as much.

I played it for around 40 hours or so and didn't really run into any bugs except the OPs one time. I'd say it's the least buggy bethesda game yet. Skyrim had an assload more bugs. I suspect most of the issues are just PC being shit as usual. I play it while my girlfriend services me sexually bugfree and not at fps whenever I fight more than 2 raiders :D
