There were threads about it for more than two weeks after its release where people talked about it indepth. Grimrock 1 didn't get that kind of attention.

why? For fucks sake why? Get it from steam or if you're a dirty whore that needs a physical copy for some retarded reason just fucking go to the store, it'll be faster and cost the exact fucking same. The only reason to buy shit online and wait for shipping is if it's fucking cheaper or just not available in stores.
I just fucking checked and it's 13 fucking dollars on steam. What the fuck is wrong with you.
>>316650275
I loved this game
>>316650275
I was having a pretty good day, Anon.
>>316650457
Amazon has the cheapest physical games by far
It's like $50, close enough
It is indie game. It was made by like 3 people and is like 6 hours long.
>>316650520
This game gets unanimous praise on /v/ and gets mentioned several times a day.
>>316650565
really I thought it kinda flew under the radar a bit don't you think
>>316650519
It is. Sadly, I feel like it's flying under the radar in comparison to the other major games in its genre.
It really shows the power of Advertising. I honestly didn't know the game exited till a month before its release. That's only because I saw a article about it on some random gaming website (might have been mmo.com, can't remember). It really deserves at least 3 times the amount of players that are playing it right now.
>>316650117

Same here, I didn't even know about until I saw it on a Steam Christmas Sale 2 years ago or so and thought it looked neat. Still never see anything about it besides during sales, which is too bad for how great it is. Seriously anons who haven't played it 10/10 would recommend.

One of the greatest FPS games I have ever played
>an actual, proper successor to crpgs, expanding on the gameplay and adding awesome co-op
>meanwhile PoE, literally a dumbed down version of Baldurs Gate with a shitty story, shitty characters and shoehorned-in backer characters is considered the modern crpg
fml baka
>>316649908
It's fun for a single playthrough, but after that it's really lacking in replayability compared to D3 or PoE. The latter are better known are more appreciated for a reason.
The soundtrack got me into shit like Godsmack as a kid and I haven't turned back yet. Plus kicking someone off of an ATV is fucking satisfying provided the CHEATING PIECE OF SHIT AI DOESN'T KICK YOU OFF FIRST

I guess everyone is entitled to an opinion, but you can't say that PoE added anything new. It was just a rehashed DnD crpg from the 90s/early 2000s.
Fucking uninspired.
At least Divinity tried something different. Although admittedly co-op and singleplayer are a totally different experience and co-op is much better.

>Boundless

>>316651179
The game got a ton of hype and was super popular on the PC for its day. The game push a lot of technical boundaries and played with elements of interactivity before context buttons became the norm. It even got an expansion pack of dubious quality.
Then Episodes came out and it was pirated so hard that Ritual nearly went bankrupt. Now they're a jizzsponge for a casual gaming magnate. Shame since the game also came with a Source port of both the original game and its expansion.
>>316651867
>Lmao you even prefer getting robbed

>>316651652
Can't tell if you're saying that ironically or not. None of those games are good or out.
I like how it says "experience 2015".
It is 2015. It is the end of 2015. And PS4 still has no games. It was launched two years ago and there is still no reason to own it.
>B-but bloodborn

>>316651652
That guy is retarded, but that list man.
There are 10 games on there I will definitely buy, 1 of which I'm not buying on PS4.
There are 4 games I am considering.
There are several that I would be interested in if they were ever to be localized, though in fairness there is one on the list I will import anyway because text doesn't matter.
But there are a fuck ton of HD releases on there and that's nonsensical.
>>316651998

On a scale of 1-14.99 how worth it is Road to Gehenna?
>>316651998
You made this same idiotic comment in another thread and I guess you never read the reply.
It isn't saying "This is PlayStation, Experience the year 2015." No, what it means is "PlayStation Experience" is a yearly event like Gamescom or E3. "PSX 2015" is simply advertising the event and the game that will be showcased there.
PS consoles always start off slow (with the exception of the PS2).
>>316648483
They left the second one off on a cliffhanger, too. Fuck Capcom, seriously. I should really replay the games. Viewtiful Joe was a really great series and I almost never hear people talking about it.
>>316652052
Yeah, I wish I could edit the list but
A) I didn't make it, and don't feel like spending time editing it
B) it's all kind of moot since people have different tastes and shit to one person is a must-buy to another
>game is on sale
>thread pops up mentioning game for the first time in six months
???
>>316652107
I have played it. My room mate has a ps4. The other has a xbone. I still have experienced not even a single game that makes current gen consoles seem at all worth owning. It's been fucking years since release.
>>316652237
Wasn't me mate, sorry but it must be a bit of a common opinion.
/v/ hates the shit out of this game for whatever reason while simultaneously praising other arena brawlers like Anarchy Reigns for whatever strange reason.
The game does its best to give each robot a unique feel and play style. Some of the single player scenarios are certainly unfair, but the game is unapologetic in challenging the player.
>>316649132
Fuck yes, that game deserves at least a remake / re-release so that the online works and it probably has one of the best campaigns of any RTS game out there
>>316650009
The series had the coolest monster designs, I swear. Too bad about the atrocious voice work, though.
>>316652339
Holy shit.. is this what Ace Attorney games are like?
Fug I need to play them.
>>316651638
Shogo: MAD was pure style of substance and rode the peak of the 90's anime wave for all it was worth. The game itself wasn't great. Being on robot and foot play the same. The doom weapon set could have been balanced better. Level design was playful though, I will give it that.
Monolith really had to make its own games to show that the Lithtech engine wasn't just cheap trash even if its technology was behind the curve for most of its life.

I really liked Talos but when the DLC hit I just couldn't force myself to care. Dunno what it is. >>316652178
I'd pay $20 for it. There are plenty of creative, clever puzzles and the star challenges offer a lot of replay value as long as you're not just looking for walkthroughs. They put a fair bit of effort into the environments, puzzles and the story which unfolds in the terminals. The puzzles are challenging without being too mind-bendingly difficult, and I never found a puzzle which had a cheap or convoluted solution, the game rewards creative problem-solving rather than bruteforce attempts. It's easily enough to keep you occupied for five to ten hours.

PoE may not be entirely original or even that amazing, but it's writing and world building is much better, it's overall game structure feels more polished, and most of all it's combat system feels serviceable, and doesn't feel like a cheese battle at times.

>>316656848
I would love to blame the big bad publisher, but it honestly sounds like the devs couldn't get their shit together.
The XBox 1 is just a closed X86 PC. Switching development for it should not have been the showstopper they claimed.
Running speed changing with resolution honestly sounds like deep rooted engine issues that they refused to address. If you are going to do the special snowflake thing and roll your own engine, you have to have competent coders on staff and be willing to address major issues like that.
The rest of it sounds like the designer couldn't make up his mind or have a clear vision. Bouncing around between single player, multiplayer, and coop, he should have picked one he had the time for and focused on it.

Fade to Black is pretty much the Herzog Zwei of third person shooters: it was the original game to found the genre but another game took the concepts and made it popular. It wasn't until '96 when lara croft showed up with her spikey boobs in the original Tomb Raider did the average gamer know what a third person shooter is.

The official online client has the best model I've seen that isn't a simulator, you literally can't spend money on it unless you buy physical packs/boxes and it's entirely possible to grind your way up to get a competitively viable deck thanks to a theme deck format.
And /v/ has Pokemon threads all the time despite /vp/'s presence, where the PTCG's only presence there is in a general. So no fucking excuses.

Undying got surprisingly mixed reactions when it came out (especially with its atrocious vagina-scorpion final boss), but it really does horror right. The game has a good blend of platforming adventure, purposeful weapons, and challenging opponents.

I used to have this game but I never actually got to play it because the disc was heavily scratched. It ended up becoming an inside joke between my cousins and I because it would only get the the main menu I think where the announcer would scream the title. Sometimes it would glitch or crash really bad and he would keep repeating the title like a broken record. To this day when we see glitches in a game or just for the sake of saying it we still imitate the retarded announcer.F-F-F-FOUR WHEEL THUNDERRRRRRR
>>316662457
watched the gog stream when it was on sale, seemed like a decent unreal engine game
Freedom Force gave the much maligned super hero genre and delivered an amazing experience. Not only do you get a team of super heroes, you can manage the hell out of them. Synergy becomes a real thing when hero's field skills work in tandem with each other to stun, lock down, and pummel opponents.
>>316662937
That's great. Honestly I think that shout was the most memorable part of the game, but the arcade racing & maintaining constant boosts was actually lots of fun. Felt fast.
FOUR WHEEL THUNDER
Before Dante brought the crazy, Sieg brought the pain with his Legion. Chaos Legion is probably one of the most overlooked IPs in Capcom's library. Assault and force modes let players control their own pacing during levels. Having to replay levels could feel cheap at times, but once you got the Thanatos chip, you stomped all over everything for your efforts.

I still have the disks, bro. Add the Rebirth/Retro mod, and I'm set.
Dead as fuck
This game is top 5 or 3 beat 'em up ever yet it's niche as fuck.

I wouldn't say it's amazing, but it's pretty damn good honestly.
Easily the best of the FoTM survival games that I've played.
>>316664051
Played this game when it first came out.
It was terrible. Dull environments, super repetitive gameplay, lame story.
this thread sort of confirms /v/ is full of hipsters who like bad shit just because they find out it wasn't popular.

finally snatched this game today, stacked it with another coupon and got the game and gehenna dlc for less than 12 bucks.

Nice bullshot. I'm a big fan of Souls games, but it's genuinely depressing how badly Bloodbourne was downgraded. The game doesn't look anywhere close to that bullshot you posted.

In the similar vein of dystopian futures and sarcastic robot sidekicks, I recently played Primordia for the first time.
I really like Wadjet Eye's games, although they really hit on the "protagonist with a dark past hidden by amnesia" story beat a lot, going by this as well as Gemini Rue, anyhow. Primordia is definitely one of their best, the only thing against it is the puzzles can be rather obtuse, I feel like I solved a majority of them more by chance than anything else. But there's still a great atmosphere and a cast of well-voiced characters for an interesting story, with a surprising number of varied endings depending on how you handle the last few scenes. Would recommend, classic point and click style warts and all.
games bretty good

One of my favorite Xbox 360 games ;).
I don't love many things, but I love Desktop Dungeons
One of the BEST games of the entire 4th gen, and nobody fucking talks about it. Ever.
Also, The music is so fucking good. Same dude who did the OST for Streets of Rage 2

>This piece of shit
>"absolutely amazing"
Nigga, I 100%'d this game in like, 2 days. It was shallow, short, the car building wasn't even fun, and the whole story was fucking miserable, with an ending that literally consisted of "Fuck you, fuck your playtime, and fuck any concept of character development for you or the enemies."
There was so little to do in this game that I kind of felt insulted, because they clearly could have done so fucking much more.

How's the Tokyo area? Seen a couple of clips and it looks like it has sufficient amounts of twisty-plot.

So I beta tested this shit way back, and the combat was just a worse version of Champions Online. However, the beta was limited. Everything I have heard about the questing and world have been positive. Is the rest of the game really so good it outshines that spammy shit combat?

Hold this game so near and dear to my heart. Love the story, the art, the humor, everything about it. Complete it once a year as kind of a little tradition.
>>316670036
I remember some of the chest riddles, that's about it.
It's still the best multiplayer shooter out there. It just didn't have enough unlocks to keep people's interest.

It's pretty much dead on both consoles and PC isnt it?
>>316670643
On xbox it has around 10k peak players on any given week, which is respectable.
on PC it can have sub 1000 players though.

Gangbeasts
Vermintide
I could have sworn /v/ liked this a decade ago, but I rarely ever see it mentioned these days. Before zombie games saturated the market, this tiny indie game was pretty neat. It had a lengthy story mode spanning 3 cities (although the amount of enemies you had to face near the end made things a little repetitive). I was really fond of its arcade mode, which I guess kind of reminded me of Smash TV.
