Jokes aside, that account wide mog, hide shoulders option, and gnome hunters have been long time requests that the players . Legion is pretty much a "Oh shit, We're sorry" expansion because of WoD, so why wouldn't they focus on things the players have been asking for a long time, like Hide Shoulders and Gnome Hunters. And with Wardrobe, they effectively killed any remaining issues with Storage Space people have in the game.

I've liked what they've show so far, but they still can't seem to manage to avoid the year long content droughts between expansions. The game is probably down to around 5mil subs now, and while this is still a lot, it's starting to enter the zone where this kinda shit simply shouldn't be happening.
People don't seem to realize Blizz has known exactly what players have asked for for years.
They have it pinned to the wall and peel stuff off to and add to the next content patch or expansion as a major selling point when subs get dicey.

WoD is the most recent example of horrendously stretched out content (at the most expensive price no less), expecting Garrisons as "player housing" to hype the expansion enough to sell.
If you don't realize this then you deserve to continue to shell 15 a month for a game that delivers more like 5 a month's worth of content.

The Garrisons definitely were, in the vision of current Blizzard. Old Blizzard never bothered as they knew the feature would probably bring down the rest of the game, with very little content as a result. With WoD, you have Cory Stockton to thank for specifically making Garrisons the center of the expansion. As they said in a pre-WoD interview, they are his "baby". Sylvannis' motivation is to keep herself alive. After Arthas died she tried to commit suicide and saw she was going to hell for being a shitty person, then the Valkyr saved her because she was the most powerful undead on Azeroth and needed a new master.
Everything she's done since then has been an effort to protect herself from dying. She wanted to convert new people into Forsaken and conquer Gilneas and Arathi Basin because more territory and more Forsaken means more meatshields between herself and her enemies.
It's a simple calculation: The arrival of the Burning Legion and the changing attitudes of King Wrynn means she can have peace, her odds of survival go up drastically. She'll give up the future of the Forsaken species by ending her plans to reproduce via Val'kyr magic in a second if it means permanent peace, ie Nobody wanting to kill her anymore.
I guess you can call it her "getting away with everything," but whatever.

There is literally nothing worth in that expansion. Not only the content is bad and scarce, they also butchered and reduced the classes with the prune. And if that wasnt enough, they introduced pay2levelboost and pay2gear.

You pay for an expansion that the standart version is already more expensive than the normal, so you can pay for a boost to max level skipping the entire game, so you can pay for time tokens, so you can buy gear, facebook-game buildings.

The difference between Cataclysm and WoD is that, while Cataclysm was bad, you can always create a better expansion next time. And they did. MoP is by far my favourite expansion.
WoD has launched WoW back in time by homogeinizing every class, "pruning" read: dumbing down skill set, making the rest of the world not only more irrelevant than it already is, but actually giving you the option to skip it (by paying 60€), and even giving you the option to skip the ACTUAL content with gold. And lets not even talk about garrisons.
What I expect from Legion:

Eh, I always liked the idea that Gnomes literally couldn't be Paladins or Druids because their minds just could not grasp the concept of Faith because they're too scientific. When Gnome Priests were lore'd as Doctors who use light magic the same way mages use Fire magic I thought that was quite clever. I just find it interesting as a quirk of the species that Faith is beyond them.

And while you might say "who cares? That isn't important," the fact of the matter is it's very important. When you enjoyed vanilla or Burning Crusade, you weren't enjoying it because you were thinking to yourself you'd get to be the big important guy who does everything. Lore-wise for the Horde: the Trolls don't care, the Goblins don't care, the Forsaken don't care, the Blood Elves stopped caring because Warlock magic saved their race from extinction, and the Orcs kind of care but Thrall gave Warlocks amnesty during the WC3/WoW timeskip so they could prove they could be a positive force in the Horde, and given that Garrosh committing a Warlock Holocaust was a plot point I'd say by now they've earned their place as valued members of Horde society. Only the Tauren seem to not really be down with demonic magic for good.
Alliance wise, the Gnomes don't care because Magic Is Science, the Dwarves used to care but now that the Dark Irons have been reintegrated into mainstream Dwarven society that stigma is being killed by force, and the Worgen don't care for reasons that aren't really addressed but they seem to have gotten cool with it far in advance of their starting area. If I had to guess I'd say they probably were forced to accept Warlock's among them to help survive the Civil War that happened while they were behind Greymane's Wall.
The only ones who have serious problems with Warlocks among them are Nelves, Draenei and Stormwind Humans, and it seems like the Stormwind Humans are starting to give up that stigma since openly Warlock NPCs have appeared among the Alliance military several times without feigning Magedom. Also a Warlock group was invited to openly take part in the Argent Tournament, which was a pretty big sign of faith I think even if it went... poorly.

I rolled a DK right when Wrath came out. While leveling, things were completely insane, but the class distribution evened out at max level.
After leaving the starting zone I remember dungeon groups were hilarious, because everyone could self heal, DPS and tank. Dueling other DKs in Hellfire Peninsula was pretty great too.

Not sure if you remember it, but Cataclysm fucked their rune recharge system beyond repair. Their recent Legion class preview confirmed it's all been completely scrapped, so you wouldn't have that to worry about. imo DKs are shaping up to be pretty great with the other changes. They're absolutely godawful boring in their current WoD form, though.

Blizzard hasn't made an expansion for WoW since WotLK. Cataclysm and onward have been re-packagings of WoW, removing and altering it to make it seem like a new product and making all old content completely irrelevant in the process.
It's a workaround to making a new full priced game but doing half the world, like the CoD games re-use assets so do Blizzard games.
They say it's an expansion, but they are giving you the old ones for free and giving out level boosts because what WoW used to be or what it had doesn't matter, all Blizzard cares about is what's new. Stormwind is still on fire because Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor only matter when they are promoting the new expansion, otherwise it's all just recycled bullshit everybody has done already.
Seriously don't be fooled. Nobody has played WoW since WotLK, it's been Cata, MoP, WoD and Legion the "MMO" game with a sub-fee. It's Blizzard abusing it's fanbase and milking them for money and nothing else. There's absolutely no love in WoW, SC2 or D3 anymore.

Make a Fury Warrior, and make them only use fist weapons. Give them the agility fist heirlooms, enchant them with elemental force, and watch everything die in seconds (even dungeon mobs) until you hit Pandaria. From then on out, feel free to ditch them for actual STR looms or whatever the fuck until you hit 90, which at that point, you're unable to use fist weapons completely.
Enjoy getting mad and punching things better than Monks do.

The stat squish makes the stats on the weapons pointless prior to MoP's level. It's all about weapon damage itself, and heirlooms are going to outperform any and every possible weapon you can get per their usual level, and with Elemental Force you'll be doing a ton of damage. I mean, for all we know, the first passive your artifact gets removes the damage debuff penalty. But for now, its just not feasible. Even in WoD where abilities were literally designed to pick players down instead of 90% of everyone's health every hit, that kind of debuff wouldn't work.
