I wouldn't call Ciel bitchy, but I just can't be attracted to her for some reason. Maybe it's the whole two lives thing. Rin is kind of similar, but at least we get to see the more interesting side of her, or rather her "true colors", throughout the majority of the novel. Ciel is just kind of weird in how she is presented as being a coldblooded heresy killing machine but then able to smile the next day at school. If the novel had shown us more of her past, then that might have helped her case. The manga was pretty good about it, and KT showed a little bit more of her past, but it just wasn't really enough. I want to like her, but I just couldn't bring myself to do that.
