DLC was good but was released extremely slowly, and all the DLC was released and completed by the time the PSN version came out, but most of the DLC was still sold separately for it.
Hackers all over the leaderboards.
Drop rates for boss items were absurdly low. I've rarely seen so much speculation and blind faith put into methods that would supposedly raise your chances of getting what you want.
Completely non-existent character balance and severe Soma favouritism.

Only problem is Soma got more work put into him than every other character combined.
Blows my mind they fundamentally changed how most of the other characters worked and limited them, but Soma gets tons of equipment and souls for every single enemy in the game.
Like, Charlotte can't even charge her spells or buff, and Jonathan can only use the Vampire Killer. Fucking Soma even uses the Nebula whip that only Jonathan uses.

Soma has useful spells such as stats buff while Alucard is stuck with spells like Soul steal that takes 50Mp to do Darkness damage and heals 3-5Hp per enemy. Kicker Skeleton. There's only one, he guards the path to Julius, he has a scarf to show everyone he's the spookiest motherfucker around, he possesses one of the few ability souls, and he can kick Soma all the way across the room and out the door.
There's no way he wasn't holding back. He wanted to make sure Soma was strong enough to fight Julius, by making sure his weakest kick didn't critically injure him. Kicker Skeleton had created the eclipse himself and orchestrated everything right from the start, including the war between the Belmont clan and Dracula, and all this time he has been very patient. Until the time comes, he wears his scarf with pride and trains.
He also plays chess with the Master Librarian on weekends. The Master Librarian's room is in one of the many rooms that has no doors or entrances connecting it to the rest of the castle when it rearranges itself.

Soma was by far the best character to use for grinding. and the devs just kept giving him more good stuff as the DLC came out.
Plus there's the fact that Yoko and Charlotte didnt even have jump kicks, which meant they couldn't follow the party when they inevitably Yorick jumped somewhere and bypassed a third of the stage.
