Nightmare Edge seems to be used primarily as a stomp attack. You can jump and immediately NE when you're in range, and the hitbox is pretty huge. Even if you miss, the follow-up attack has an unreasonably large range.
So it's not as if Nightmare Edge is completely useless. It seems to exist primarily to be a slightly more reliable and easier to use Belial Edge, at the expense of sacrificing Ragna's corner game. Not saying it's an adequate replacement, but it's not completely terrible.
So really, what's the real deal for not moving to /vg/? Like we've had these dailies for 4 months in a row now.
All those other threads that you're going to deflect already have generals and no one talks about blazblue on /fgg/. No shitposting, just logic.
Also, did they boost Ragna's lifesteal? It feels like it restores more health than before.

It's not quite "venom", but Tager clearly dislikes Ragna, acting as if he's some sort of significant enemy. Ragna himself rarely ever instigates a fight against Tager, and he'd prefer to just walk away peacefully. It's always Tager who starts the fights, even after Kokonoe tells him that she's not really interested in Ragna or his Grimoire.
They fight at least once in every game, but few of their fights are ever necessary. Every time Tager meets Ragna, his first instinct is to pick a fight.

Well I guess since Hazama is a captain over the Intelligence department and Relius is the OIC of RnD they must have had a hand in putting out the bounty since Ragna keeps breaking their stuff. I mean shit it's not like they really needed him for anything other than making sure he doesn't fall into the Boundary again.
That's kind of the funny thing about it, for being the MC Ragna for all intents and purposes doesn't really fit into Hazama's plans or Kokonoe's plans. He just shows up, breaks everyone's stuff, then leaves. I guess the point is that Ragna is a wild card that introduces unplanned chaos which is the only reason the heroes make any headway at all considering the big bad literally has control over time up until the tail end of CP where she broke the giant computer.

I'm sorry but what? The last time anyone saw Ragna he became that Black Beast and beat Jin to a bloody pulp. That makes Ragna sky high on the priority list either to bring him back or to kill him. Which by the way the 6 Heroes are nearly defunct by this point. Hakumen his gimped at less than 40% power. Jubei got his ass beat by Nine. Which by the way Nine is with the enemy. Valkenhayn is old and remarks that his strength has waned over the years. And Trinity is now a loli. The only things the heroes have going for them are Jin (because the Power of Order is fucking bullshit) and Noel (who is right on the front door of being god). And even with that they still can't beat Izanami. Yeah they're definitely going to need to get Ragna back.

See I have a big problem with the way the whole Celica thing was handled. So the entire point of Kokonoe photocopying her aunt from the past was to make the Lynchpin cut off the flow of Seithr from the Boundary, which would neuter the Imperator in addition to sending the world back into the Stone Age. But she photocopy'd her aunt before she had any goddamned idea where the Lynchpin was, no one did. And Celica has an expiration date, about 6 months if memory serves. Also Platinum knew that Bang had the Rettenjo. She didn't bother to tell anyone important about that? We know she wakes up occasionally to give out important information before going to sleep again.
My problem with Celica is that she doesn't necessarily have a reason to exist since all the ingredients to make CP work was already introduced in CS. Yeah Ragna used protecting Celica as a means of learning how to defend himself without crutching on the Azure but why did Noel have to have her role as heroine hijacked for that to happen? Especially since Noel herself some serious development to go through herself?I know I'm overthinking this, don't judge me

You're really not overthinking this. It's one of the immediate problems I had with CP's story, probably because I don't like Celica. Or maybe that's why. She has this ridiculous story importance and presence to the point where everyone is fighting about her possibly sacrificing herself for the world not once, not twice, but three times. Like it's fine when Ragna does it, but Celica is too pure and angelic to even consider sacrificing even if it's a chronophantasma. Then it turns out not to matter either way, but now she still gets to hang around.
That was almost like a theme of CP: shit doesn't matter in the end. Kagura's rebellion amounts to nothing. Noel mastering her powers doesn't actually come up. Kokonoe's plan completely falls through.
I'd be okay with that if the characters grew, but it was all wasted on Kagura and Celica.

Azrael exists because they needed a character strong enough to force Ragna to use the Azure Grimoire, but unimportant enough to justify not using it. Because Terumi's out. Absolutely no one would complain about Ragna using it on Terumi. But Azrael? He's completely irrelevant. So he's strong, but not important enough to use the Grimoire on.
That's why he exists.

Well Noel grew dramatically, she's not the same Noel we had in CT. Jin grew in CS but he didn't get a chance to flex his new muscle before he got his ass beat by Mu. Ragna grew kind of? I mean his development was to be a man and protect the people he cares for. Except he already proved that he does that by blow up his arm for Noel in CS. So CP went over what we already knew as far as Ragna was concerned.
As far as Celica there's two other things that irk me about her existence. So when Izanami took control over Takamagahara she mentioned that causality was switched from random to sequential. Meaning no more time fuckery other than any future operations she has with Takamagahara, time now flows from past to present unless someone is Observing. Well there's only 3 Observers we know of other than Izanami and that's Rachel, Noel, and Kokonoe. So how the hell did Kokonoe photocopy Celica's soul? Rachel and Noel certainly didn't do it and Kokonoe is at her limit with Hakumen and Arakune. And they never even bother to explain it, it's just a thing that she can do. Which leads to my second problem, what's the big deal if she fades away? If Kokonoe can photocopy people from the past then Celica disappearing is irrelevant to anything because she can just make another one. I get the point that Celica's life should be considered precious and that she's her own person, except that she's not the same as Noel and Ragna since when they die they're gone and there isn't someone standing by to make more. So CP introduced this concept of photocopying people from different points in time, even though CS said that this was now impossible, and didn't even bother to tell us what the fuck is going on but at the same time we should care if she dies.

Which by the way Hazama was cheating and looking at the future to find a series of events that ended with him winning. Jin's getting stronger, but so is Ragna. Jin has never had a solid win against Ragna. And for the most part, Ragna's always holding back, or momentarily crippled.
Jin has the Power of Order, but Ragna's the Destroyer of the World. So that probably sort of cancels each other out, which leaves it primarily to their individual skill levels. Ragna's just better than Jin.

Let's think about this for a sec. In Calamity Trigger, most of the arcade routes were simply "previous loops". All of them happened at some point or another, Kagutsuchi was destroyed and the world was reset. This happened for every single arcade and story route prior to the True Ending.
In Continuum Shift, once again, most of the arcade routes were just ones of many Continuum Shifts, possibilities. Once again, like in Calamity Trigger, that all came to an end in the True Ending.
Finally, in Chronophantasma, most of the arcade routes were previous "conflicts" that took place, upon which Amaterasu reset things back to a prior point, hence why Ragna remembered events from Azrael's arcade route. Aside from a certain few exceptions like Lambda's arcade route, most of them were just prior resets.
So then, what about Centralfiction? If it's like the previous games, does that mean that all of the arcade routes, each of the three Acts, are actually a prologue to the "main" story mode?
