I'm on chapter 4 right now. The demo and the first couple of levels are a huge pain in the ass and paint a bad picture of the game thanks to you basically dying in three hits with infinitely respawning enemies, but it gets better as it goes along. Once you unlock Lion it starts feeling more fair for the player, especially when you start unlocking better items to equip yourselves with. It still has its fair share of annoyances though, like having to run at a boss that has an absurd range and can two-shot your character while enemies that can kill you in three hits constantly respawn in overwatch for example.
Make sure you update if you do get the game though, the speedup turn button is pretty much mandatory.

I wasn't a fan of them throwing infinitely respawning enemies at you while you can't one-shot anything, are always pitted against 4+ enemies at a time(All of which are on overwatch), and the health drops are only in 50's when that's basically what you take from a single enemy on top of having to collect gears with all of this happening.
It gets a slight bit worse once you get to the aforementioned boss level I was complaining about since they have sniper enemies on overwatch that do something like 80 damage and they're usually hidden around corners with an insane amount of range on them. Now, while you can deal with that, you can't take it slow because these floating eyeballs that trigger an artillery strike are constantly teleporting toward you and you have to make a choice of either dicking around for several turns or hoping Henry is feeling good with his shots.
Probably won't turn mine on until Dragon Quest VII

Just pet them until it stops giving you 15+ a stat. Once you get further into the game you'll get drop gauge extenders on top of other things every time you drop. You'll also get Drop-Me-Nots if you plan on staying as certain characters longer if you want to waste them. Do not waste a single training toy or material, you do not understand how valuable they are. If you do plan on making proper DE's make sure you look up a guide for efficient Star rank creating because material farming is a pain in the ass, but grinding levels out is soul breaking. In 70 hours I have a total of six maxed out DE's, three of which where from normal gameplay, the other three from spending all the Munny I got during the entire game, and that was only leveling them from 7-10.

I usually did it when I finished a world so I could catch both Riku and Sora up. It gets kind of annoying when you're like a world ahead of Riku as Sora and you're trying to remember two different world storylines on top of character storylines in the worlds. There's no penalty to dropping outside o not being able to buy the bonuses for attack, defense, and slower drop gauge, but playing a single character and farming for like five minutes will get you to buy a max level of one of the bonuses at the very least.
Sora's final boss is harder than Riku's from what I remember, but as long as you have the proper DE's for their skills come endgame it's not too difficult. I'm serious about you not wasting materials though, some can take hours to farm for just one since the enemy spawn system is a pain in the ass in 3D.

Turned my 3DS back on for the first time in what feels like a year to try out the badge arcade game(never paying for it, f2p is trash). Last game I played on it was Theatrhythm Curtain Call, great fun but eventually I got tired of it and never plugged the system in since.
