I'm like on day 4, I'm having fun with the game but haven't played it in a week, don't know how I'm going to get myself back in the mindset but its a really fun and interesting game.

I usually pace myself pretty well and have been completing all missions but since the days are getting harder not sure if I will be able to.

Also; check out my sick OC.

Pretty much. At first I was annoyed by it because the fact that it wasn't "real" made everything seem pointless, but then I remembered that I've been playing the game from the beginning with the assumption that it's all a play, and then I remembered that the game is also up front about just being a game with some of its fourth wall breaking executor/tragedian bits, so it stopped bothering me. Some other anon posted some cool ideas about the ending but I mostly forget what it was.

Has anyone done any in depth analysis of what little we've seen from the remake?

At the very beginning of one of the trailers, we see the character open the door to a house and see a sort of dialogue wheel pop up. The character freezes here however, standing in the doorway and speaking to the character within.

Personally what I think this means is the game may have a more streamlined system for interacting with adherants/important characters. You open up the door to a house and inside is the character immediately, you don't get to walk around their mansion and talk to them or examine their shit.

The only problem with this, in my mind, is how will they put beds back into gameplay? Perhaps it will be a dialogue option or something else?

I could be totally wrong but does anybody else notice this?
>>
Day 10 Bachelor, getting real tired of walking all across the city
I don't even need the map anymore to know the shortest path to go to the Bound houses
I seriously hope they improve this in the remake
Also I have some questions:
Can someone explain how much time can infected Adherents survive?
Can the Termitary loli get infected?
Can infected adherents get sick again or once you heal them they are fine for the entire 12 days?

Massive spoilers holy shit
The two kids just came back from a funeral, someone they loved died. They find a magic sandbox, they create a town menaced by plague and send their dolls in to "fix" it.

They're basically doing an RP therapy session: the plague is all the fear of death, confusion, anxiety, and murky unpleasant feelings swirling around under the surface that have broken free in their psyches, the Town is their minds, the Polyhedron is this immortal escape from reality at the cost of freezing time, it's covering your ears and going la la la and learning nothing from your experiences.

The thing that really makes it great for me is that the story works on both levels independent of the other. You can just ignore the sandbox ending and say it doesn't exist and still get a fantastic, internally consistent story with its own fleshed out characters, themes, and plot.

Sandbox is just meta-icing on the cake. Theatre is the meta-strawberry.
>>
>>316508676
I get the impression that the video we've seen of the game is just a sort of concept render rather than actual gameplay. In updates since any videos about it that they've put out, they said they've changed the overall artstyle completely and nothing was set in stone.

This is some cool stuff.

Yes, let's. I've been having a hard time figuring something out.
Bachelor day 4: I talked to Aspity and she called Lara a bitch and whatnot, went back to her and she said the guy I'm looking for is on his way to the Termitary, and that the door is currently open so I should hurry. Neither of the doors on the road between the blocks are actually open, and the guards won't talk to me. What am I supposed to do to finish this quest?
Also, I got the cathedral opened up but didn't get a key, and I need both keys for big Vlad to be of use. Am I missing something?
>>
>>316509170
>>316508676
To add to that, just looking at the part you mentioned, the way the text moves with the scene translation in the trailer is what makes me inclined to say the text was added in as a layer on top of the 3d footage.
>>
>>316507678
>>316509052
Honestly I enjoyed the setting and the way the worldbuilding was handled using conversations with townspeople that live disconnected from the rest of the world, so the true ending was a letdown
>>
>>316507678
I've only finished Bachelor so far, do you understand more about the whole thing once you beat the other routes?
>>
>>316509663

I didn't follow up with Aspity's words, so I have no idea for the first one.

As for the second, the only thing I can think of is You need to talk to the guy outside the cathedral again, did you help his cousin escape the infected district?

You can't catch him, Aspity's a lying shit. Talk to the guys in front of the Cathedral and the Theatre and they'll tell you there's a dude wandering the infected zones with the respective keys.
>>
>>316510771
Very much so. You find out just how much information the entire town refuses to tell the Bachelor and how much of the big picture he's missing. Hell, a lot of people who seemed like crazy assholes now have understandable motivations.
>>
>>316508881
Can someone explain how much time can infected Adherents survive?

As long as you complete everything during the day, nobody will die.

Can the Termitary loli get infected?
She is already dead m8

Can infected adherents get sick again or once you heal them they are fine for the entire 12 days?

Good question, no idea.

Check the ground where you found them, the keys show up in your Other inventory and if it's full they get dumped on the ground. There was another guy in an earlier thread with the same problem.

Just use the recipes you're given. The 80/7.5 one you get right off the bat is great up until like day 7-8. It means you get a 80% immunity boost but lose 7.5% health. Swevery is a pain in the dick to get though. The Worm down in the swamp near the trainyard trades for it.

My nigger, how are you liking that?

The main thing I warn people about is that it has a shit ton of walking. It's not a walking simulator, there's way more to the gameplay than that, but just be ready for slow pace (especially the Bachelor's first few days, which is basically the introduction to the whole game, and after which things pick up a bit).
>>
>>316515034
Harvest dem organs, murder as many thieves as you can for sweet sweet organs and blood, trade with the Worms when you have spare time, get ready to not have spare time anymore after the 7-8th day because you'll be walking back and forth across the entire town multiple times just for the daily quest.

You'll probably be doing more fighting than the other two characters, but you also get to see the Abattoir and all the neat fucked-up steppe lore. I liked the ending much more than the Bachelor's, personally.

I'm a little satiated at about 75% through Thief 2, a total of like 60-70 hours in the last couple of weeks. I really enjoyed it all up until pretty recently, now it feels.. well I dunno if I'll finish it now or start with some other little project for a couple of days so it'll feel fresh again. Probably the latter.

ok. with the right atmosphere that shouldn't be a problem.

You are correct there. Starting out as Haruspex - pretty much everyone wants you dead and people will attack you on sight. It's not really making things easy on you, because it happens the moment you start the game - on day one, so you will get no peaceful introductions or lazy restocking opportunities. You'll be bleeding all over the place and should you actually decide to fight back, your reputation will go down even lower and make it even more difficult to proceed.
