I've been playing DDR on ps2 again and can still go heavy with many songs, but my 3 hour marathons are long gone. I still have most of the skill though, because if you put the time and effort in, it's like riding a bike.

If you want to play DDR, you should get StepMania and download the arcade song packs at zenius-i-vanisher. It's honestly less of a headache than bothering with the arcade games. If you don't have a dance pad and just want to push buttons, you'll have more fun with IIDX. The best simulator is called Lunatic Rave, and you can download song packs for it at bms.bemaniso.ws .
There's also osu!, if you'd like to play something more like Elite Beat Agents. /jp/ hates it, mostly for inane reasons.
