>E-en Taro Adun
You should have used Adun Toridas (may Adun give you Sanctuary). This is the most important greeting from the Dark Templars because it was Adun who protected the Dark Templars and saved them from the Protoss racism.
The Protoss still think that Adun died protecting them from the Dark Templars heresy. In reality, Adun loved the Dark Templars and sacrificed himself so the Dark Templars could flee Air and live however they wanted.
Poor Raszagal cried the most because she could tell Adun how much she loved him before going boom. Words are hard without the Khala.

I was loving LotV. The protoss campaign was just perfect. The story, the gameplay, the characters, it was the best damn campaign ever.

Then the epilogue came and it was not only the most shoddy writing in the games history, but the last mission itself was just really poorly done.

What the fuck

But at least if we get a sequel we wont have any Kerrigan the story killer. Most of SC2's story issues are directly linked to Kerrigan.

The Terran campaign is great from a gameplay standpoint, kinda meh from a story standpoint.

The Zerg campaign is bad in every way. Largely because Kerrigan. Who not only has stupid story elements, but is your main unit for almost every single mission, making them revolve around her.

The Protoss campaign is the best campaign period. Everything about it was just fantastic, even the writing was good. Most likely because it had the least Kerrigan.
>>
>>316477973
>Campaign
> Perfect

You do realize 90% of the dialogue were variations on "muh unity"? That it takes about 3 milliseconds for Artanis to unite what was a deeply divided people? That a massive planet destroying robot army just stood inside a fuckhuge ship without anyone interfering with it for eons? That Raynor just relinquishes an artifact he spent an entire campaign and half his army to get?

The main ideas behind the Protoss' story weren't bad, but boy was the execution flawed.

I admit, I like his psi-blade designs. But he's quite literally a Dark Eldar.
>Our society, which is clearly different from yours, is based on insubordination
>>
>>316478879
If they had spent more missions reiterating the same point you'd be complaining about that.

Raynor had no more use for the artifact and knew that it was better in Protoss hands.

The purifiers were recently abandoned, its stated in the campaign that they had been watched for ages which is why that planet was chosen: for the specific reason that they'd always be watched.

The Taldarim never join Artanis, they just follow him while their goals are the same: no unification there. The Dark Templar had been with the homeworld Protoss for a long time, so were largely already unified.

The only one that could be said to have been rushed are the purifiers, but its also an RTS. They can't just keep pushing out missions with the same theme of "Gain their trust".
>>
>>316478879
>That it takes about 3 milliseconds for Artanis to unite what was a deeply divided people?
It took literally 90% of the campaign for doing that and unles you want a 60 missions campaign it must be condensed into a dozen of missions
>That a massive planet destroying robot army just stood inside a fuckhuge ship without anyone interfering with it for eons?
For eons that was a Protoss only space, the Zerg only arrived there very recently and Terrans don't even know the location.
>That Raynor just relinquishes an artifact he spent an entire campaign and half his army to get?
You miss the part where Artanis,Zeratul and Raynor are bros for life.
Artanis told him he needed it for avenge Zeratul and kick Amon ass and it's not like the terran had more plans for the artifact anyways

Every character interaction that involves Artanis carries no conflict. Basically, wherever Artanis is, the plot magically makes his will come true, despite allusions to what might have been legit oppositions to his rule.

>Vorazun: you believe in the guy that killed my mom and ran off, I will often state that I disagreed with you in the past, but hey, let's blow up my planet and become best buddies.
>Rohana: I will not remove my link to the Khala despite being mind-raped on several occasions... unless you ask three times and then we will never speak of this again.
>Alarak: you are a puny, weak leader, I will often allude to the idea that I'm going to backstab you in a very open way, but hey, let's be pals.
>Fenix: never mind the fact that I'm the poorest attempt at resurrecting a well-loved character ever, talk to me 2-3 times and I'm going to convince my deathbots to join you despite your people's history of sealing us off. This will literally take 3 seconds of beep-booping.
>Karax: I will make you a templar despite our caste system and no one will bloody care.

>>316480176
Blowing up the planet was her idea.

With Rohana it was pretty much her finnally realizing she was a danger to everyone.

Alarak isnt an idiot. If he attacked Artanis he'd get his shit kicked in pretty hard.

With Fenix, agreed. They needed to spend more time on the purifiers.

With Karax, they had already severed their nerves. After that, more change isnt hard to come by. That, and in a warrior society Karax proved himself to be a very capable strategist. Artanis did not make him a Templar, he proved that he was one.

>>
>>316482364
Any of the named Zerg characters would have been better, more compelling leaders. Kerrigans entire shtick was that she was perfect and the campaign was less "Zerg led by Kerrigan" and more "Kerrigan featuring the Zerg".

Zagara would have been a better leader: a zerg queen rising leaning and adapting to changing circumstances, occasionally stumbling along the way.

Abathur having an extreme focus on finding new ways to improve the swarm no matter who got in his way.

Stukov leading a force of Zerg against those who wronged him and eventually continuing the mission the UED set out on.

Not

Kerrigan who was perfect and just wanted to save poor Jimmy ;_;

Well, the Protoss largely only know about Raynor who is now gone.

Is Valerian, Matt, or those after them start grasping out at the universe things may change. The Protoss are still new to the idea of a race where people die every couple dozen years.

Likewise, there is still the UED. And Zagara will one day expand too. There is lots of room for conflict now.

So how does this game stack up to HotS? Is it better? Does it change that annoying thing where every single mission plays like a tutorial mission?
>>
>>316486259
Did they even explain the prophecy bullshit?

It really makes no sense the xel'niggas are super scientists not wizards, how could they see into the future and write something on stone thousand of years ago?

Best Campaign of the Newest Three by Far.

Great Sound Track.

Multi-player will be good has some issues right now; although it's already better than HotS. The future is looking pretty good too, ladder redesign in ~janurary, multiplayer redesigns and additional content will be coming in the future.

The Keystone is several billions of years old. Confirmed by a conversation with karax towards the end of the game.

So is quite possible they truly were omniscient.

I was stuck with the impression that they can prolong their lives for a long ass time but eventually need to engineer a new perfect species were they can transfer their brains/consciousness, they are just scientists with pacifism as the end goal and have lived for a long ass time so they have super advanced tech, hell, when some barbaric protoss rebelled they killed a bunch of xel'nagas, same for the overmind, I don't see how they are gods or how they could have made that bullshit prophecy.

final missions across the ages
>SC: 2 bases of two different races on the opposite sides of the map the player needs to control himself VS 1 massive base
Objective: destroy key building hidden in enemy base
>SC:BW: 1 base in the middle VS 3 enemy bases specialized in different ways next to you ready to fuck your shit up
Objective: destroy all the enemy buildings
>WC: RoC: 2 allied bases that don't need to be controlled because they're taken care of by AI, but have to be supported by the player's forces to hold the line VS periodically spawning waves of increasing strength. enemy base unkillable due to a nigh-invincible demonlord of doom and rape standing there that pretty much can't be killed without outright cheating (remember the "whosyourdaddy"?) or hardcore abusing the cleave mechanics from glaive throwers being of a strange damage type
Objective: hold out for 45 minutes
>WC: TFT: 1 player starting without a base and 1 massively underleveled hero VS 3 massive bases, one of which is virtually invincible by virtue of having NO LAND ACCESS (enemies get through by swimming/walking on water, something you cannot do) and massive air force guarding it, all having max level heroes in there
Objective: capture 4 different spots on the map and control them at the same time, one of the opponents can take them away from you it's actually unloseable, illidan will never grab the 4th obelisk

comment too long
>>
>>316492387
>SC2: WoL: 1 slightly bigger than average player base with highground/chokepoint advantage and excellent turtling capabilities, also a panic button that kills everything in your vicinity on a couple minutes cooldown is available VS periodically spawning waves of enemies, 1 special wave and a couple times when raidboss character dives your base
Objective: hold out for a duration, i honestly don't remember how long
>SC2: HotS: 1 base and a league of legends hero with assistance of allied AI cannon fodder streaming in endlessly after fulfilling bonus objectives VS a huge enemy base and couple of minibosses
Objective: destroy key building hidden behind most of the fortifications
>SC2: LotV: 1 base + 2 AI controlled allies that are there basically to be not even cannon fodder, more like extras to make the battle feel more "epic" by dying a lot, and league of legends hero that is a couple orders of magnitude more powerful than normal units and as such the only relevant unit you control VS gorillion forces spewing out from spawners for free, crystal turrets that are on your champions power level so you have to take care of them and an environmental threat representing your invincible enemy
Objective: destroy 7 key buildings that move across the map slowly (they have massive healthpools so you'll need to bother with your champ as well)

Once he obtained both the Highlord title and his revenge he just couldn't betrayed Artanis and left Aiur keeping neutrality with the Templars.

You do realize that UED doesn't give a shit about koprulu, even with Amon appearing. They basically sent their Prisoner force to tell them "let's see how well they can perform".

If UED decides to attack in full force i hope it won't be metzen writing the backstory, As i've had enough of MUH CORRUPTION.

There's no info about how strong they are, it's only stated that the force they sent was null compared to the real UED military, given that their tech is retarded advanced and they're alone, they likely control craploads of sectors.
